FOURTY-SEVEN - Ice Queen

After a couple of days thinking about it, Minseok finally said yes to her request. The request for them to divorce.

It was hard for him to see her not happy with him. He just doesn't want to be selfish anymore. He tried everything possible to make her remember him but all was void. Hanbyul doesn't even remember him at all. To be added, Hanbyul doesn't want to live with him at all. She often go out to the nearest coffee shop to kill her times or anywhere she wants as long as its not home.

As one day, Minseok brings home the divorce letter, it was the first time for him to see her genuine smile on her lips since she woke up from her comma state. She sign the paper happily and she leaves the house as soon as Minseok tells her all of the process is proceed and they are not bounded with anything anymore.

"Hanbyul-ah, do you really want to get divorce with him?" - That is what Madam Kim asks when she knew that they was about to get divorce.

Hanbyul who sits beside Madam Kim inside her room smiles to her mother-in-law and nodded her head.

"It was sad to know that your relationship with him is not working. I thought love is enough between a girl and a boy but I guess it's wrong then. Clapping with one hand is definitely won't produce any song right?"

Hanbyul's forehead wrinkles. What does she means by that?

"Hanbyul-ah, do you have someone else in your life?" - Madam Kim asks.

Habyul shakes her head, denying that question.

"Can you consider my son once again?" - Madam Kim asks again with her pleading eyes.

"Sorry eommonim, I don't think I can do that. I just want to be free now. I want to enjoy my life too. Working in the field that I majored, date the guy I love, owns a house of my own and many more. You don't mind right if I want to do something for the sake of my own happiness right?" - Hanbyul holds her mother-in-law's hands tightly in hers, making sure the old lady's heart is not hurt by her words.

"But Hanbyul, can you reconsider Minseok back in your life? My son is not that bad, right?" - Madam Kim still hoping.

"I am so sorry eommonim. I cannot do that. - Hanbyul smile's bitterly towards her.

She nodded, understanding what Hanbyul really mean by it.

"Did he already confessed to you before this?" - She adds.

"I don't know eommonim. Honestly I cannot remember him clearly. His image and our memories together still blurry in my head." - Hanbyul answers honestly.

"Did you know that he like you sinc—"

Minseok who heard everything from outside of Hanbyul's room getting all tense up when he knew what his mom gonna said next. He quickly enters and cut her words.

"Eomma. Geumanhae. It's getting late. Hanbyul wants to go now. It will be dangerous to let her move out when its getting late." - Minseok cuts her mom out.

Madam Kim sighs and gets up from the bed along with Hanbyul. Minseok comes forward toward Hanbyul's luggage and he helps her to carry her luggage downstairs.

It was really tiring for Minseok these past few days. He really need to stay strong with all of these. To be honest, it was really heartbroken for him to announce his marriage and divorce news all together in a press conference. He just don't know what to say when he listen to all of the questions from the media to him on why he needs to marry in silence and only dare to announce it when things getting worsen like this.

But, on the bright side, he manages to clear up Chanyeol's bad name before too along with his story with Hanbyul.

Hanbyul bit her last goodbye towards madam Kim, who used to be her mother-in-law now. Madam Kim cannot bear to watch her favourite daughter-in-law go like that quickly went inside as fast as she can and she doesn't want to witnesses her farewell.

Minseok smiles understandingly as he sends his mother inside and he can see she quickly climbs the stairs towards second floor of the house.

"Take care of yourself. Just call me if you need any help." - Minseok manages to utter that.

Hanbyul just nods, just making sure her behaviour doesn't seems rude.

She spins her heels and grabs her luggage to get ready to walk outside of the gate. She promised Sehun to wait for her at the coffee shop nearby that she regularly visited these past weeks.

As she was about to make her steps outside the gate, Minseok fast-walking towards her before he grabs her arms to spin her around and he catches her neck towards him.

And the next thing she knows, he is already kissing her like he never wanting to let her go.
