Three Months Later

Jason POV

"Caleb, you don't need to treat me like I'm glass!" I hiss when he picks me up off of our bed.

"Actually, I do," he sasses. "You got out of the hospital after a stab wound to the heart only two months ago and, well..." he trails off, but I know what he's talking about.

We're pretty sure that I'm pregnant. A month ago... things happened and someone forgot to wrap it up so... wolf babies. Plus, a pregnancy test came out positive.

I sigh as Caleb gently places on me on our new couch in our new home. After we announced our mating our packs joined together and Caleb and I decided to build a new house, just for us. Well, Caleb decided to build a new house at the lake I love so much. It was a get-out-of-hospital gift. It took a month to build because of, well, werewolves.

Needless to say, I love it. It's perfect for us, albeit large, but I know that Caleb wants a big family so the size makes sense.

"Oli and his mom and Rowan and his mate are coming over tonight," Caleb reminds.

"Are you cooking?" I ask curiously. Caleb is a brilliant cook but refuses to admit it.

"I'm grilling something, Juli-Mom is bringing dessert and Rowan and Emily are bringing salad."

"Is someone bringing alcohol?" I ask.

"You are pregnant," Caleb says exasperatedly, making me smirk.

"So it's your fault that I can't drink. Got it," I say, feigning irritation.

"Huh, you have never drank before! Why start now?" Caleb groans, throwing his hands up in the air.

Like any rational mate, I start crying. Yes, crying.

"Why can't you take a joke?" I wail, making Caleb's eyes go wide.

"Baby..." Caleb starts.

"I'm not a baby!" I scream and cross my arms as I turn away from Caleb. He sighs and goes to open the door for Oli and Rowan and company, who have apparently been waiting outside awkwardly the whole time.

"Uh, how are you doing?" Oli asks me.

I turn him and see the fear in his eyes.

"Not great!" I say as tears fill my eyes. "I'm so fat but Caleb is making me eat more and..." I want to say more but I start sobbing uncontrollably. Again, I turn away and cry into the couch cushion.

"What did you do to him?" Oli whisper-yells to Caleb.

"I, uh, got him pregnant?"

I start sobbing louder.

"You weren't supposed to tell them!" I wail.

Caleb runs his hand through his hair and sighs.

"Baby, we never talked about telling them."

"Which is why you shouldn't have told!"

"Baby..." he starts, but I cut him off.

"No!"
