Chapter 8- " Some Suprises.."

Michael's Pov

Once I felt Rainy's hand leave mine I went into a state of panick. I knew that there were bodyguards around me but that didn't calm my nervousness down.

"Rainy!" I yelled over the screaming of all the fans surrounding me. The security were searching all over for her and I was starting to grow more nervous.

"We got her Mike." Bill said holding A crying Rainy in his arms. I sighed in relief feeling my shoulders slump.

"Thank god. Are you ok? Are you hurt?" I asked multiple questions once I took her into my arms and we where escorted into the car. All I got back were sniffles and whimpers back.

My heart ached hearing Rainy in so much pain and shock. I knew that getting use to the whole Popstar life would be new for her. I just wish it didn't have to happen like this.

"I d-don't w-want to go out there anymore daddy." she hiccuped as more tears ran down her face and I just held her tighter.

"I know princess we won't go out there anymore, we'll shop for you room tomorrow." She nodded against my shirt and I told Bill to drive back to Neverland.

All of the crying must had taken Rainy right to sleep because as soon as we got back she was fast to sleep. I carried her to the door and opened it smelling Pam already cooking lunch.

"Back so soon?" She asked once I walked into the kitchen. She looked up from the cutting board to see Rainy in my arms and she furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.

"Why was she crying?" She asked concerningly setting down the knife. I didn't really want to reexplain the events that happened but I decided to just do so instead.

"We had a bit of an incident at the store and it involves me losing Rainy in a crowd of fans. She was crying so much and didn't want to get back out so we came back here." I explained shortly.

I looked down at Rainy to see her still sleeping and I cracked a smile seeing her look so peaceful.

A ring interrupted this and I picked it up with the arm I wasn't using. I wasn't prepared to hear an angry shouting voice on the other end.

"Michael, why did I see Rainy on the tv surrounded by a bunch of your fans being screamed at!" I knew that it was Carol and I held the phone away from my ear because she was probably going to break my ear drum.

"Carol.. calm down R-" before I could finish she cut me off.

"No don't tell me to calm down! If your not going to properly protect her than you need to send her back!" I was starting to get frustrated and I had a few things to say to her that I didn't want Rainy to hear. So I mouthed for Pam to watch Rainy and she took her into her arms.

I walked up to my room and sat on my bed continuing this conversation.

"Excuse me but I think I remember saying you had some issues you need to take care of with yourself. And definitely that husband of yours. Also if I remember correctly I just found out about her so if you expect me to be a perfect father than im sorry!" I finished before hanging up the phone.

How dare she think that I'm not able to protect rainy. Just from that incident she thinks I can't?

"Daddy." I turned my attention to the door when I heard Rainy's voice in the door way.

My negative energy left me when I saw her standing there waiting for me to come to her.

"Hey princess, how Ya feelin'?" I asked walking over to her and sitting down infront of her.

She crawled into my arms and curled into ball in them.
"Better, I just hope I won't have to do that again." she mumbled. I sighed knowing that there would be a chance it could get hectic. But I would make sure it wouldn't get to that extent.

"Well, I have good news if that makes you feel better." she piped up and faced me with excitement.

"what is it? What? What?"

I giggled at her excitement and responded. "You get to meet your grandma and the rest of your family tonight." Her smile faded and she sighed before turning back around and sitting in my lap.

"Hey, your suppose to be happy." I said pulling her cheeks in a raised position so she'll look like she's smiling.

"What if they don't like me daddy?" She asked looking up at me. I removed my hands from her face and raised my eyebrow at her.

"Rainy there your family, there going to love you, I promise. Ok?" She still seemed unconvinced so I started to tickle her resulting into a smile to rise on her lips.

"Daddy stop!" She squealed with laughter as I continued.

"Say ok then!" I exclaimed playfully. She gave up screaming ok and I stopped standing up as she copied my actions.

"Come on let's get you showered and dressed." She nodded and followed me towards the bathtub.

As I was washing Rainy's hair my fingers got tangled in her curly hair and I shook my head knowing that the trait came from me.

Rainy was humming some random tune as I continued. We only had a couple of hours to get ready and I knew that I should have asked them to come later. Mother had called me last night wondering how I've been and I told her about Rainy and she was more surprised then I was when I found out.

She went on a rant about when and where it had happened and who with. After all of the questioning she had insisted that she meet her. I told her that I hadn't wanted Joseph to come but she scolded me saying that he's apart of the family too. He sure doesn't act like it. I thought when she had said that he was.

All of my brothers and sisters are coming and I hope that all the attention won't frighten Rainy. She seems like a outgoing kid so she will be able to warm up to them quickly. Atlease I hope she does...

IM SOOO SORRY About the updates being such a long distance apart. I've just been really busy with other things that I need to be focused on but I decided to update this book and some of my other books. AGAIN IM SOOOOOOOO SORRY. I used 8 o's so that's the ultimate apology. Thanks for the reading guys and I love you if you stuck with this book the whole time!!.
