There were three crucial moments between Gabby and Ghost after they began working together.
With the threat of Makarov and proving him to be the mastermind behind the massacre at the airport in Russia, 1-4-1 was sent out to Rio de Janeiro in attempts to search for Makarov's contact, weapons dealer Alejandro Rojas. Soap managed to get his accomplice. "Roach, this is going to take some time. Go with Gabby, Kyle, and Soap to check out the favela for any sign of Rojas. That's where this guy was headin'." Price ordered.
"I'm staying." Gabby decided as she climbed up into the garage they had him tied up in. Ghost had hooked jumper cables up to a car battery as a means to torture him. That just made him a bit shadier.
"What?" Kyle asked. She ignored him and went up to the man in the chair. He started to chuckle, then. Price shrugged and shut the garage door as the rest of them headed to the favela. He and Ghost turned to watch her. Instantly, she kicked his chair back but caught him by his throat as he hung there. Neither of them had ever seen her act like this before. She was being absolutely ruthless. That's not like her at all.
"What's so funny?" She asked him.
"You." He managed out.
"You're awful confident for a coward." She let him fall back to the floor, him groaning out as his head hit the concrete.
"You're weak, even for a girl." He said. She took the jumper cables from Ghost's hands and pressed them to his chest. He cried out, it electrocuting his body. She pulled away after a moment. "See, the only pain you can inflict... is from a car battery."
She lifted him back up from the floor. She turned to make it look like she was walking away, but she swung around and landed the hardest punch on him. He was knocked out for a moment. "Well, Gabby, we kind of need his information."
"Don't worry, he'll wake up some time or another." She shrugged, crossing her arms over her chest as she leaned onto the table. They both gave her a look, though, it was hard to tell on Ghost. "What?"
"I didn't know you had it in you."
"You never gave me a chance in St. Petersburg." She replied. He nodded slightly, then. These wars, the things she's seen, it's changed her. Price knew of her big heart. Alex spoke about it persistently. It's his favorite thing about her. And Price was sure a big part of that side of her changing had to do with Alex's death. He wondered how he felt, watching her act like this now. They glanced over as his eyes fluttered open slightly. "Ready to talk?"
"You won't get anything out of me." He said, earning him another punch. She knew not to go too hard. They were right, they needed information. "I've been through worse."
"Then I'll accommodate—" Price grabbed her arm and stopped her.
"You're not being smart. He's taunting you so you'll be angry enough to kill him. It's the easy way out for him." Price eyed her. Her eyes were full of darkness. He needed to have a talk with Ghost later. He needed to come clean with her. That's the only way they'll get the real Gabby back.
"Then let's make him wish he was dead." She shrugged, going over and grabbing the jumper cables again. Ghost was almost hesitant to let her have them, but he didn't say a word. He had a fear of accidentally calling her Gabriella, so he hardly said a word to her. She kept torturing and torturing the man until he finally had enough. He came clean, telling them that Makarov's worst enemy is prisoner 627 who is locked up in a Russian Gulag in Petropavlosk.
In the midst of things, Price found some alone time where he could speak with Ghost. He grabbed him by the shoulder to get his attention. "You need to tell her."
