"Will you tell me, WHERE THE HELL YOU HAVE BEEN? Do you have any idea how worried I was?! Your father, too? Did you care?"
Kacy just got home.
And her mother is now yelling at her.
"Sorry mother," Kacy tried to think of a lie. "I didn't have any connection not until I reached Julian's."
"What do you mean? No connection? Huh? What do you mean?" Her mum was still yelling. "Your father bought you data and now you say you have no connection. What is this nonsense?"
"Mum, I used most of the data Dad bought me for the month already. And if I used more, I was afraid I would exceed the limit and you and Dad would have to pay," Kacy sighed.
"Fine! I will let you go this time, but it's not like one can waste that much data off from just ONE MESSAGE!" Kacy's mother cried. And Kacy realised her mother did have a point.
"Sorry, I won't do it again," she closed her eyes. Her acting skills weren't the worse.
"Oh, and, I'm not letting YOU stay over JULIAN'S house for another THREE months. Heard me?"
Kacy's heart sank. She didn't even stay at Julian's home. But it was better than telling her the truth she'd been with her grandfather, who was unexpectedly still alive. And she knew there was only one answer.
"Yes, Mum, I'm sorry," Kacy sighed again.
"You're grounded—for ten days! I will speak to your father later," Her mother said and she stalked off.
Welp.
Since she was grounded, she went to her own bedroom and took out a book to read.
Until she meets a pair of gorgeous dark blue eyes, just like Kaiden's.
