Joy's POV February 21
"Wake up you little rat need did you forget that you have to make breakfast!" Miss Jane my caretaker said , while ripping my blankets off my body and throwing them on the ground. "Don't make me tell you again or there will be a punishment," She said smirking waiting for me to not obey her so she could hurt me. I was scared on what was going to happen so, I quickly got out of bed, bowed at her, and ran to the kitchen to make food. While I was taking the step stool out to reach the counter,I heard her closing my door and going into another kids room to wake them up. I don't know why she doesn't like me but I do what she says because I don't want to get punished if I don't.
I was looking around trying to find the eggs when the step stool under me got knocked over. "Oops, I didn't realize you where right there," said my bully Nancy. I was about to cry and was also about to pass out because of how hard I hit my head on the floor. "Aww is little Joy gonna cry," she's said in a teasing tone. "Get up Miss Jane said you were making breakfast and I'm hungry," she said twirling her hair on her hand. I got up and started making the pancakes.
While Im cooking the pancakes let me tell you a bit about myself, my name is Choi Minsun but I go by Joy , my birthday is on May 9th ,I am three years old ,and I have been in the orphanage for a year. My parents died in a building fire while I was at daycare and I have no siblings. I am scared of being alone, and thunderstorms, whenever I get really scared I tend to have panic attacks and pass out. I get bullied by some of the older kids and I have bruises all over my body. I am very skinny and small for my age because the caretaker only gives me fruit on a good day.
I am finished and made about 40 pancakes so all the kids will have multiple. Miss Jane was watching me to make sure I didn't eat anything but at the very end she gave me a mini orange . I thanked her and went to the shared bathroom to take a shower. Right after I got in the bathroom one of my biggest bullies Momo started beating me . " your ugly , no one will adopt you , just take a shower cause you stink," I ran into the shower room and turned on the water already starting to wash my hair and body. I tired to finish quickly so Momo and Jane wouldn't be mad . When I got out of the shower i went to the mirror quickly brushing my hair and went to my room and changed into this:

I had a friend named Mina who taught me a lot and a few days after she got adopted she came back and gave me this outfit. I never really wear it but I felt like today was a good day to wear it . Apparently people are coming today so the caretaker told me to stay in my room and cover my bruises. I had overheard Momo saying that they were famous but I didn't care because I wasn't going to get adopted either way.
