RAMEN GIRL SHENANIGANS
-
working at the ramen shop with jaemim was admittedly fun. getting to share the struggles of complicated orders and having to carry around scorching hot bowls of noodles was something the two treasured in their friendship.
in the beginning, she really had thought there was only one love that would fill her heart to the brim. and that was the romantic love that were displayed in plenty on the romance animes she'd watched when she was younger. since her parents were too busy to give her much attention, it was just her and her shows. she remembers desperately how she'd wanted a kurosawa yamato or a takumi usui to sweep her off her feet and take her far far away to a place of her dreams.
seeing jaemin for the first time triggered that sense of needing a guy to look at her as if she's his whole world. she's met eye to eye to what she had attempted to do. it was horrible and she still cringes at her unrealistic thoughts from before. rae's just glad that jaemin is nothing more than a friend now, because after getting to know the male, she wouldn't want that kind of relationship for them. the guy's charming and all, but she can't see him in that way anymore.
for now, she has other issues to tend to. like how she doesn't even know what her sexuality is anymore, and she blames it on the beauty that waltzed into the shop one day and swept her off her feet.
"rae~ mystery girl is back." jaemin's teasing tone cause her to shoot a glare his way. oh how much she wanted to slap that stupid grin off his face.
"shut up." she hissed.
"not a chance." the latter gave rae a not so gentle hip bump towards the table 'mystery girl' was sitting at and sent her a wink. "go get 'em tiger."
"fuck you na jaemin."
the other wagged his index back and forth at her then responded with, "not me, her."
and that is how she ended up a stuttering flustered mess in front of mystery girl while trying to take her order. she couldn't believe the mess she had become just because she was in the presence of her.
"you know my order." mystery girl prompted, sending rae a knowing grin.
you see, she wanted to say that she didn't know her order, but of course, she knew mystery girl's order by heart already. whipped? oh, she's far more than that.
"right. i do." she stumbled with getting out her notepad to write down the order to deliver it to the cooks. meanwhile, mystery girl looked at her with a gaze of amusement and fondness. the sight was cute, to be fair. "one shio ramen with a soft boiled tea egg on the side, correct?" oh how she hated how she knew her order to the 't'.
