Chapter 1 The alpha

Alesha's POV
I looked out the window of my car, my mother was in the front seat driving. I was only 15 and I was moving...again....
My father had just left us for a strawberry blonde, she was 24 at his work, and he was 47. I still wasn't over it, I loved my father a lot but then again I had a burning hate inside me for him.
"Sweetie? It's gonna be okay..." My mother said looking at me, she had her eyes off the road for a moment. "Everything is fine mother....I don't need comfort..." I said holding back the tears.
"Mom! Watch out!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, a huge black wolf standing about 4 feet had jumped in the middle of the road. It had red eyes and it glared right at me as if beckoning me to come with it. My mother hit the brakes as hard as she could, the car went out of control and we almost crashed. But I grabbed the wheel and gained control, we were on the road again and the wolf was gone and I let my mother gain control of the wheel again. "Mother did you not see that wolf? It was 4 feet! That was huge!" I said in astonished voice. But my mother's mind was somewhere else as we pulled up to our new home. I couldn't help it, but I had the feeling we were being followed and watched....

Dallas's POV
Kyle came up to my desk and was looking at me with pleading eyes, "can we go for a run please alpha?!" He begged me. He was my best friend and my beta, I was very busy with pack papers and I sighed "you know I'm busy Kyle I can't..." I said looking up at him with a glare.
He flinched back a bit, "hey come on! I'll annoy you till you come!" He said with a smirk on his face. "Fine, I'll meet you down in the backyard in five..." I said combing my hair with my fingers but before I could answer he was already gone.
I sighed and stood up I haven't let my wolf run for a while I guess it was time to go for a run, I walked down the stairs and walked outside into the open backyard. Kyle, Lewis, and Susan were already in their wolf form wagging their tail. I shifted into my 4 foot black wolf Alex. -finally we are going for a run!- my wolf exclaimed in my mind, -I have a good feeling today!- he said happily and I rolled my eyes.
They waited for me to start the run and that's exactly what I did, we ran through the forest for a long time then my nose caught the scent of something. My wolf screamed inside my head excitedly -mate! Mate nearby!- I decided to follow the scent and I found a car, the other wolves were close behind.
That's when I decided to get a better look, I jumped in front of the car peering inside. I saw a 15 year old girl and her mother they smelled human but my wolf had a different feeling.
-it's her! Our mate!- Alex screamed excitedly that's when the car started spinning out of control and I jumped back into the forest.
-are you crazy?! She's a 15 year old girl! I'm 18! She can't be my mate!- I mind linked Alex in a angry voice.
-she is perfect, age doesn't matter! I can sense us being together! Let's follow her!- Alex responded to me.
I had no control over Alex since I was in his form and we chased after the car. -this is a bad idea....- I said in my mind then Kyle mind linked me -it's a great idea! You've found your mate!- I shot him a glare and he slowed his pace a bit and with that I blocked him out.
