Chapter 20 The death of my pups

Alesha's POV
I ran fast, as fast as I could to get away from there. Of course I was in my wolf form, I couldn't run in my human form silly.

My pup was coming, I was in labor yet I still ran. My wolf Mia told me it wasn't safe yet.

After a very long run, what seemed like hours it was only minutes. I was fast when I was worried and hurt.

I entered a clearing, it was quite lovely. A crystal waterfall was there, it seemed to be hiding something do I went near it.

It turned out behind the waterfall was a small cave, more like a den. Instantly I fell down and tried to get comfortable, but I couldn't...

Hours passed of me being in labor, no matter how bad I wanted to scream I held it in. Me screaming would give away my position.

It all paid off though, I had five pups when I turned to see them my heart sank. All but one were dead, they had died from me hurting so much.

I began to tear up then I looked at the last pup that was still alive.

She was beautiful, she had black fur with patches of white on it. But then she opened her eyes, and that was like a knife to my heart.

She had his eyes, she was whimpering at me for milk but I stood up so she couldn't and I towered over her.

"Please....my beautiful pup.....forgive me...." I begged then I hesitated but then I finally did it.

I took her tiny body between my jaws, she protested at first but then I crushed her tiny bones. She went limp instantly, it killed me to kill my own fled hand blood...but I had to....

As soon as I kill my beautiful pup I ran out of there, I could sense he was getting closer. I left my scent in the cave for a reason...so he would find the pups....

I ran fast, that's when I heard a loud yell "ALESHA!!!!" It sounded angry. At that moment I knew he had found the pups.

I pushed myself even harder, running as fast as I could I left his territory. I left my mother who thought I was still dead. I left my friends. I left that awful state.

I ran for what seemed forever, I followed the sun and didn't look back, not once did I look back. Not once had I said goodbye to them, it broke my heart...but I was free...as free as a bird.

Nothing will stop me, nothing I regret....I regret nothing...I feel no pain anymore...I will not love ever again... I chased the sun, not once changing direction.. My goal now? I had no idea....destiny and fate can be cruel but also a funny thing....

I tried to change my fate, look where it got me...
