Does anyone know, how much detention sucks?! No. Phones. WTF?! I sighed and tipped back in my chair, waiting for Jonas to show up. "Mrs. Jones! How many times must you be told, do not tip your chair!" Ms. Darbis screeched, causing me to smirk. "I can't 'tip' a chair. It can't do anything with the money."
She glared at me, and I grinned, putting my feet up on the desk as I ignored her scoldings. Jonas walked in a minute later and immediately took a seat next to me. "Spill it."
"Wow, not even a 'hello'?"
He sighed in frustration. "Scar, I'm not messing around. You need to tell me what's up."
So, reluctantly, I explained to him the incident between Lexi and I. It took a bit of persuasion on his side, but I also, quite hesitantly, told him about the odd feeling nagging at the back of my mind. Just thinking about the entire incident has stirred the feeling, but it isn't as strong now. Merely a whisper running through my subconscious, and easily ignored. He was silent for a while, which worried me slightly. I-is he scared of me now? Oh no, I don't want to lose one of my- "Sounds kinda like what happened to Jeff." Jonas replied slowly, as if the words seemed difficult to get out. I gasped. "I-It does... B-But I'm not going to kill people. You know that, right?"
In reply, I was given a sad, almost pitying look. "We can never know for sure, Scar. Just, try to stay calm, okay? If you don't let them get to you, then there's no way you could snap."
"But you know what kind of a temper I have!" I whined, tipping back a bit too far. My chair tumbled backwards, but I didn't hit my head. "This is why you should listen to your elders!" Ms. Darbis scolded. Jonas glanced at me, perhaps worried I would get pissed. But you know what? I started laughing my bruised ass off. "O-oh my d-dear Takhisis! Th-that was h-hilarious!" I gasped between giggles. Jonas began laughing with me, and soon we were both rolling around on the floor. "Ms. Jones and Mr. Ackerman! Stop this non-sense at once!" our irritating teacher thundered, glaring at us. This, of course, made us laugh harder. The other students chuckled at our fit, and soon enough the entire room was in an uproar of laughter.
After detention, Jonas and I started skateboarding to Sam's house. My ribs hurt from laughing so much, and I still felt kind of dizzy from lack of oxygen. "Best detention ever." I laughed lightly, smiling at Jonas. He grinned back and nodded. "So, what game do you think we're playing today? I think Jacob mentioned something about Mortal Combat..."
Jonas groaned. "I hope not!"
"And why is that?" I questioned incredulously, raising an eyebrow. He shuddered. "The girls don't wear any darn clothes..."
I stared at him for a minute, and laughed. "You're probably like, the only guy that minds!"
He flushed in embarrassment, looking away. "Yeah, so? You're probably the only girl that doesn't."
"Touche, me amigo, touche." We both laughed again annnnnddd.... my skateboard hit a rock, and I fell.
"Fuck! This is not my fucking day!" I exclaimed in agitation, standing up and brushing myself off. I had skinned my palms and my knees, but it was nothing too severe. It didn't hurt or anything.
Third POV
As soon as Scarlet and Jonas walked inside, a very upset Sam greeted them. "Where the hell have you been?!" he demanded, before looking down. His green eyes widened when he saw Scarlet's knees, which were bleeding a bit more than she first thought. "Scar! Are you okay?"
