𝟐𝟑 ➵ 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐫

"Hey, love." A familiar deep voice greeted Somi as she was taking the books out of her locker. 

"Hey, Taehyunnie~" Somi cooed as she turned around and her dark brown eyes met with Taehyun's sweet honey browns. Taehyun chuckled before placing a loving kiss onto her forehead. 

"Where's my morning kiss?" Taehyun pouted and pointed onto his cheek, a teasing smile thrown towards his girlfriend. 

"Here." Somi let out a girly giggle as she pressed her soft lips gently onto Taehyun's cheek. Taehyun let out a wide smile before taking the books from her hands and placed it right on top of his stacks of books. 

"Tae, are you sure that you can carry that many books? Your textbooks are already heavy enough." Somi asked, her dark brown eyes widened with concerned as Taehyun was already carrying a thick Biology textbook, Physics textbook and Add Mathematics textbook along with a lot of long note books and workbooks. 

"It's fine. Plus..." Taehyun trailed off, then gestured to his biceps which were flexing underneath the uniform. 

"I do not just exercise for the sake of this."

"Taehyun..." Somi let out a playful groan before smacking his arm. "For real though, I want to help you carry with the books." 

"Fine..." Taehyun huffed as he shook his long brown bangs away from his eyes. "Half of it." 

Somi gave Taehyun an eye smile before reaching over and took half of the books from him and closed her locker. As the couple walked, whispers, murmurs and looks were thrown at them. 

It had only been three weeks that Somi was dating Taehyun and they were still a hot topic among the students. The older students discussed worriedly about how they feared the history would happen but others could not help but to be happy for Somi as she found the right one for her. As they were walking towards Somi's class, Somi gently leaned her head towards Taehyun as they talked animatedly about their day. 

Just as they stepped into the classroom, Huening Kai groaned as Taehyun and Somi approached them sweetly. Meanwhile, Beomgyu let out a quiet snicker at how his best friend has suddenly becoming extremely sweet and romantic towards a girl. Mina could not helped but to let out a sigh, causing both Su Yin and Akira turned and looked at her. 

"What is it, Mina?" Su Yin who had been early to school once in a blue moon, asked concerned as she looked at Mina who was looking at Somi and Taehyun with longing eyes.

"Mina, are you okay?" Akira asked, worried that her friend was sad. 

"How I wish Huening Kai and I will be like both of them." Mina said as she looked at Taehyun who was helping Somi to settle her stuff. 

"Same." Akira said as she casted her eyes back at the couple. 

"Don't worry. I am sure Huening Kai is just really shy around you. You'll have a happy ending soon." Akira said, a smile on her lips. 

"Pft-" Mina scoffed as she crossed her arms across her chest. "As if he will like a loud girl like me."

"If Huening Kai doesn't like you, then it's his loss." Su Yin comforted as she gave a gentle pat on Mina's shoulders. 

"Your time will come, Mina. Don't rush." Akira said as she got off the table that she had been sitting and dusted her skirt off. "Let's go and talk to them."

It was a simple lunch when Somi, her boyfriend, Taehyun and their best friends were enjoying themselves with food, laughter and of course, hottest tea to spill. 

"So, do you really think that Mr Li is dating Mrs Ji in secret? This is like a K-drama!" Mina said, s she took a sip of her bubble tea. 

"That's just plain disgusting. First of all, if I am Mrs Ji, why should I even cheat on my husband? Apparently, we are married for a reason. Secondly, if I am Mr Li, I should reject her advances and get over my feelings for her." Somi frowned as she took a bite of her lasagna. 

"Love, why are you thinking so deep?" Taehyun chuckled as he tucked his girlfriend's stray bangs behind her ears. "It's just tea, nothing worth to overthink about it." 

"Oh God, Crystal!" Soobin said, laughing as his eyes crinkled into a smile. "This is too funny." 

"Girl, chill!" Akira laughed before continuing. "I bet on my dollars that they are dating and who cares? Their lives, not mine." 

The entire group of friends roared in laughter as they said that. Yeonjun could not helped but to stare at them with jealousy in his eyes. He despises the fact that Taehyun could make her happy, even happier than she was. He also despises at how easy Taehyun got to have friends around him. During dance practices, he could not helped but to be envy as Taehyun and Somi will be clinging to each other when there is a break. 

He needs to fix this. 

With that thought, a smirk plastered on Yeonjun's face as a girl leaned her head towards his shoulder. 

Something big is coming for you, Taehyun. I hope you are ready. Yeonjun chuckled as the girl smiled, thinking that he laughed at her jokes. To her poor hopes, Yeonjun was chuckling at what he would get at the end of it.
