One of the nurses called over the phone, "Good afternoon Mrs.Peterson,I'm sorry but your son was struck by a hit and run driver.He's now critical at Coney Island Hospital."

"Oh no, I will be there immediately." said Mrs. Peterson frantically.
Mr. and Mrs. Peterson hurried to the emergency room and their eyes couldn't believe the condition of their son when they entered and saw him.
He laid on the bed unresponsive,with couple brain injuries ,thankfully he didn't break any bones but his body was truly blistered from the impact.They stood at their sons bedside with tears streaming down their faces.
Later on that afternoon they told Jake about the incident and him and his parents came to visit as well.They bought flowers,balloons and a few gift cards.
"You're my only friend please wake up Sam,I pray that you will be okay in Jesus name.Please wake up so that we can watch our favourite superhero movie one more time and we can go fishing by the lake with my dad!"Jake wholeheartedly said that short prayer and it left everyone crying bucket of tears.
A couple hours have passed and a nurse told them that their visiting hours were completed for the day. Mr.and Mrs.Peterson kissed Sam's forehead and they left for the night.
*At Chris's Home*
"Hahaha did you see how he flipped into the air like a burrito....awesome right?"Chris boasted.
" I kinda feel bad hun,I mean he's just a kid and he never disrespected you in anyway. "Maria said with tears beginning to well up in her eyes.
"Are you kidding me? He dresses like a hobo and it annoys me. By the way if you're going to grow all soft on me and take his side then we can't be together and you'll have to give me back all the expensive jewellery I bought you! "Chris viciously explained.
"I'm sorry maybe you're right and I'm wrong,"she replied with an unsatisfied look across her face.
"That's my girl,now you and the others must not tell the cops or anyone in authority, that I was the one who struck Sam Peterson with my vehicle." Maria shook her head and she recorded Chris's confession on her phone without him knowing.
Maria isn't sure if she'll snitch on Chris because he'll be sentenced for attempted murder.She truly loves him at the end of the day and would feel horrible to see him placed behind bars.He's done a lot for her in the past and that's why shes stuck between contemplating on what she should do.
Her mom always thought her that she should do what's right even if she'll be hated in the end.The advice of her late mother crossed her mind as she sat near to Chris wondering what she should do.Chris took out his credit card and gave Maria it so that she can go purchase anything that she likes.Maria came from an impoverish background and Chris knows that,so he will use it against her.
They met when she use to work at a bookstore,he deceived her into thinking that he's polite and she started dating him.He bought stuff for her and her entire family.He treated her so well.Poor Maria was unaware of his dark side until now.Maria is a really sincere person,but will she let her love for Chris hinder her from telling the truth?
