"Jake it's cool with me,you guys allowed me to stay over for a couple of days, thats enough for me." Sam told Jake.

"Bro I don't want you to leave but my relatives need an urgent place to rest." Jake said with tears streaming down his face,he really wanted to assist Sam but they had limited space and food.

"Dude it's cool you all still accepted me and thats something I will always remember.I'll stay at the nearby shelter and I'll work at a pizza place until." Sam told Jake whilst trying to hide his shaky voice.

Before Sam left he thanked Jake and his parents for their kindness that they've shown towards him for the past couple of days.Jake walked up to Sam and gave him $50 dollars, "I know it's not much but place some gas into your vehicle and buy something to eat."He thanked him once again and then he left there apartment.

"We're not hiring at the moment sir please check back later."
The manager at the pizza place notified Sam,when he had went to apply for the job.

He tried to apply for other careers but they had no vacancies. With desperation from not wanting to sleep on the streets neither the shelter,Sam returned to his parents place, hoping they'll give him another chance.

He knocked on the door and an unfamiliar old lady answered in a raspy voice, "Hi young man can I help you?"

"Is Mr. and Mrs. Peterson at home? "Sam responded nervously.

" No they moved to Atlanta and sold me this property. I took it because I always wanted to live in New york."she added.

Sam felt devastated that his parents will move to a whole different state without notifying him. His heart shattered with grief when he heard the news.He told the old lady good bye and he left the porch.Sam tried calling his older siblings for assistance but they to began to ignore him.Unfortunately he then realized that he had to live in the shelter.

"The fifth bed on the right is yours sir."said one of the shelters' assistants.Sam told her thanks and he tried his best to get comfortable in his new home.

There were many people and most of them comprised of single mothers with kids. There were a few guys there who got kicked out their parents home for drugs.

"I got kicked out my parents house for marijuana and crack cocaine, what are you here for?" Said a teenage boy whose bed was next to Sam's own.

"Well it's a long story but my parents kicked me out because I tried out for the football team, instead of chasing there dream career." Sam jumped with fright because the boy had laughed so loudly.

" Hahahahahaha dude you didn't even do anything illegal, no offence but your parents are crazy. "said the boy.

"Haha you're a funny dude,my name's Sam what's yours?" Sam said.

"I'm James but everyone call me Cranky. "said James jokingly.

" Why do they call you that? "Sam curiously asked.

" When I don't get my drugs I get cranky...duh! "James replied.

" Drugs isn't the answer you're better than that." Sam expressed.

"Don't tell me what to do Mr.goody two shoes ."James rudely replied with a stern look on his face.

Sam was a bit uncomfortable because some of the persons staying there were quite aggressive, loud and obnoxious. But Sam had to adjust to his new environment whether he liked it or not.He went to sleep that night and awaited for Monday morning. It's the day where Coach Lewis let's them know if they made the team or not.
