Something's Going On

Recap chap. 13:

Mike tells Dustin to not treat Diamond like his ex girlfriends. Diamond hears them and the two go to the pool and talk about it. Dustin tells her about his previous girlfriends and he reveals that he had sex with 4 different girls and the last time was the night before he met her. Mike texts Bre that the plan needs to be put in motion.

Diamond's pov.
I hope I can trust Dustin, but his past is a little bad. I just have to see where we go. Dustin and I finish in the pool and I get ready to leave.

"I might text you later. I'm going out with my friends and I'm not sure if I'll be able to text you." He says.

"It's okay. Have fun with your friends, just not too much fun." We give each other one final kiss and I drive home with my head in the clouds. But, when I walk in my door I see a weird sight. Bre crying and Mike hugging her? What is going on and how did Mike get here so fast?

"What are you guys doing here?"

"Shane broke up with me and to think I was actually going to have sex with him." Bre says through her tears. I go over to hug and condole her.

"Well Why are you here Mike?" I'm really confused.

"You were with Dustin and she had nobody else to call so she texted me."

"You could've texted me and I would've came over. Don't worry Bre he's a really bad person anyway. He was too possessive and clingy. There are a lot of guys that like you at our school, just take your pick."

"Thanks. I guess that I did know the type of person he is. I should've broken up with him awhile ago. Thanks for helping me Mike."

"No problem. If you ever need me, just text me." They're acting kinda weird and flirty.

"Lets go to the mall to get your mind off of that ass. Do you want to come Mike?"

"Yeah I'll come along. I have nothing better to do."

We all get into the car and head for the mall. After an hour of shopping Bre already feels a whole lot better.

"Oh God." Bre says.

"What?

"Shane is walking down this way with his arm around a chick. That's probably why he broke up with me."

"Just don't worry about him."

"Mike I need your help. Can you pretend to be my boyfriend so I don't look stupid."

"Yeah if it helps you to get back at him then I'll definitely help." Then my best friend and the guy I still have a little bit of feelings for grab each other's hands. They're acting like they've been dating for months and I feel left out and a little jealous. I think something's going on with them.

Mike's pov.
Diamond looks jealous. I knew that if me and Bre 'got close' she would get mad until she finally tells me that she likes me. Then I can tell her how I feel about her and she can break up with my player brother. This plan better work.
