Eight years had passed since the events all the way back in Egypt what with summoning the end of the world. Molly was now twenty six years old and in the kitchen of the home her and her father shared with her Aunt Evie, Uncle Rick, and her younger cousin Alex. That's right, shortly after returning home from Egypt, O'Connell had started dating Molly's aunt and eventually the two got married and had Alex. Even though Rick was still a pain in the ass to Molly at times, she had eventually grown to love Rick as her uncle and Jonathan warmed up to Rick as well even though those two were constantly at each other's throats. As soon as Alex was born, Molly had grown an instant connection with her baby cousin. She wanted to be a good role model for Alex so she had gotten rid of her old dark and drab wardrobe and added a bit more color to it much to Jonathan's delight now that he wouldn't be practically embarrassed by what his daughter was wearing. Hell, Molly even had the black taken out of her hair so now her hair was only brown and fell a little ways down her back since she decided to grow her hair out some what. And believe me, to this day, Jonathan still thanks Evie over and over again for having Alex otherwise he'd be stuck with Molly going through a stage possibly worse than when she was a teenager. And what happened to the guardian you may ask? Well, its still inside of Molly obviously but it surprisingly came through her more and more often (in a non harmful way of course). But that's only because one day Alex decided to walk out in the middle of the road without looking and Molly naturally sprang into action only the guardian beat her to it. Since then, Alex has been practically obsessed with his cousin's protector. What surprised Molly the most, however, was how he hasn't driven it mental yet. Molly began to hum a soft tune to herself as she rummaged through the cabinets looking for something to eat. Her aunt, uncle, and cousin were away on a dig in Egypt and Molly's father had a "lady friend" over as he put it so Molly decided to hang downstairs and out of her father's way. Molly stopped mid step however, when she thought she saw something red pass by the window. However, the twenty six year old shook it off and started some popcorn in the microwave. It was a little late at night so Molly decided to watch a movie before heading up to bed. She was already wearing a pair of purple pants and a top to match it. Then she heard the front door open. "Aunt Evie, Uncle Rick, Alex!?" called Molly walking out of the kitchen. As soon as she stepped foot in the little study area her aunt normally used, she was tackled by a little tussle of blonde. "Hey, Molly!" beamed her cousin brightly. "Alex, you little sneak!" laughed Molly hugging her cousin. "Alex, off your cousin!" called Evie from upstairs. "It's alright, Aunt Evie, I don't mind!" said Molly with a smile. "Good, you can watch him for a bit!" said Rick as Molly sat up. "So how was Egypt?" asked Molly getting to her feet. "You wouldn't believe it! There were these bad guys that tried to get me right, but Mum and Dad scared them away!" said Alex. "Really? How so?" asked Molly leaning against the table as the chest clicked open. Molly and Alex both looked at each other. "Molly, please tell me that was your protector..." said Alex slightly nervous. "Wasn't it or me....." said Molly trailing off slowly. Alex slowly swallowed before going over and opening the chest to reveal a golden bracelet. Molly quickly shot her cousin a 'don't even THINK about it!' look before peering into the chest and gently grabbing the bracelet. Alex, of course, being like his mother, wanted to get a better look at the bracelet from his cousin and what happens? The damn thing clicks itself onto his wrist. "Alex, I told you not to touch it!" hissed Molly. "Sorry! Couldn't help it!' said Alex. The bracelet then lit up and started scanning across what looked to be the deserts of Egypt before landing on a sole pyramid with a large diamond on top and then it vanished. "Alex, take that thing off right now!" hissed Molly noticing her aunt and uncle were still distracted talking. "I'm trying! Give me a hand!" whispered Alex trying to pull the bracelet off. After a minute or two of unsuccessfully getting the bracelet off, Molly heard her uncle's voice and Alex quickly hid the bracelet o his arm behind his back while Molly quickly shut the chest closed. Both beaming brightly as though absolutely NOTHING was wrong in the least bit. "Hey, Molly, mind fetching your dad for your aunt and I?" called Rick. "Uh, yeah, sure, no problem, Uncle Rick!" said Molly brightly. Before running upstairs, Molly made a zipper motion across her lips signaling for her cousin NOT to say a word to his parents. Alex nodded and gave a thumbs up with the hand that didn't have the bracelet attached to it. Molly then made her way upstairs looking for her father, Jonathan Carnahan. She finally found him in one of the bedrooms except there were a bunch of guys dressed in red one of which was holding a long knife to her father's throat and a woman holding a possibly venomous snake. "Dad....what going on in here..." asked Molly staying close to the door. Furthermore that woman looked AWFULLY familiar for some reason! "Your guess is as good as mine, love." said Jonathan trying to look as relaxed as possible. Then the woman made eye contact with her. "Aahmas, is that you? My you certainly have grown into quite the young woman." said the woman with a icy smile. Aw shit Molly had a feeling she'd say that. 'Oh no...don't tell me...' thought Molly. "Anuck Su Namun reincarnated? Yes, yes it is." 'I said DON'T tell me!' thought Molly moving away from the woman who was getting WAY too close for comfort. "Well now, won't this just be a surprise for Imhotep once we've brought him both the chest and you." said the reincarnate with a wicked smile. "IMHOTEP!?" shouted both father and daughter in panic. "How about, ain't happening!" yelled Molly. "And to think this scardy cat helped to defeat Imhotep." mumbled one of the men behind her father. "I heard that!" warned Molly avoiding getting bitten by the snake who looked like it wanted nothing more than to bite her. "Dad, permission to-" "Yes! Yes! Please do!" replied Jonathan cutting his daughter off. "I take it that's my cue to deal with them?" "Yes, yes it is!" said Molly out loud. "Who in the devil is she talking to?" whispered one of the red guys. However, Meela had gotten a hold of Molly smiling at what she thought was victory but it quickly dropped when Molly grabbed her with her free hand in a tight grip before throwing her off. Meela looked up baffled as the men drew their guns. "Sorry gentlemen, and lady, but it'll take more than that to stop her little friend, now if you'll excuse me....MINE!" yelled Jonathan grabbing a golden stick thingy from one of the guys and locking himself in the bathroom. Little friend? What little friend was he talking about? Molly's head slowly rose and her eyes snapped open as a deep brown that seemed almost black. "That must be the guardian we were foretold of...." whispered the man who was the only one besides Meela dressed in black. Molly didn't give anyone time to react as she leapt at one of the guys and snapped his neck with ease as the others began shooting. However, thanks to the guardian's power, they missed her. Haha, stupid idiots!
