Waiting for the bus to come is always boring. I usually have my friends Piko and Fukase here to keep me entertained, but this time they're not here.
Where are they?
I'm alone.
Cold and alone, since i forgot to wear my jacket.
Well, I guess I'm not all alone. There's a boy with blonde hair, pale-ish skin, and red eyes next to me. He looks around my age, so he's probably in 8th grade too.
He had headphones around his neck and a grey jacket type thing (idk what its called oops). I've never seen him around my school before. Maybe hes new? But since it's december, I'm not so sure. He looks like he's one of the popular boys, so hes probably not gonna want to talk to me.
I checked my watch. 8:20. That's weird. The bus should've been here by now...
I pulled my phone out of my pocket and texted both of my friends on our group chat.
Me: Where are you guys?
I sighed and waited for an answer. I checked the time again. 8:23.
I got an answer almost immediately.
Fukase: We're at the school. Where are you? You werent in the bus so we thought your parents took you to school...?
Now I'm confused. Was the bus early and I missed it? I mean, what else could it be?
Before I could text back my phone started ringing. I read the caller ID.
Utatane Piko is calling...
I answered the phone and put it up to my ear.
"Piko? What's going on?"
"Y/N! Where are you? You didnt take the bus? We checked the band and orchestra rooms since youre usually there but we couldnt find you!"
"I'm waiting for the bus."
"The bus already came!"
"What do you mean the bus already came? Was it early?"
"No. Well not exactly. The bus schedule changed to 7:40 since we're gonna start picking students up from another school. They sent emails to our parents about it."
"Dammit!" I yelled which made the guy stare at me with a look of confusion in his eyes. We awkwardly made eye contact and quickly looked away.
What am I gonna do?
"Uhhh, okay. I guess I'll have my mom pick me up."
"Alright then. Is there anyone else there or are you alone?" Piko asked.
"I'm not alone. There's some other guy here." I answered, nervous about saying anything else hoping he wouldn't hear me talking about him.
"Oh, ok. Take care (Y/N)."
"Yeah, thanks." I replied and hung up. looked through my contacts and found my mom. I decided texting her would be better than calling her, because some reason she never answers phone calls but always replies to my messages.
