It's times like these that the imagination runs wild. I have previously stated (in The Inevitable) that perhaps, inevitability is the scariest conjuring of the human mind. In reality, maybe the unknown it worse.
When it comes to inevitability, no matter how terrifying or joyous, it is the inevitable, so there is awareness of what is to come. The unknown it quite unlike that for no other reason than just that, it is unknown. Can inevitability scare the living hell out of people? Absolutely. It is unknown as to how the inevitable will be pursued. Before you die, you are oblivious to how it will happen, unless it was planned. With the unknown, you don't know anything.
The unknown could stretch from the greatest lengths of joy, to the deepest pits of sorrow.
