The whole kingdom is a piece of artwork in itself: the walls, ceilings and floors are a mosaic of icy blue figures. Inside, there are chambers- rooms, even -that house the lonely soul.

His temperature dropped and remained at a chilling temperature ever since he came to be, causing his skin to be light blue. He wears his usual dark blue gown, and never chose another color besides the snow or ice. Besides the crown.

There are three red gems attached to a golden crown shaped like three mountains. The metal is the same chilling level as the rest of the kingdom.

The Ice King sits on his couch, chowing down on his third bag of potato chips. He isn't nearly as hungry as he comes across- his eyebrows have come together in worry, and the Edges of Ice King's mouth point downward.

The King does have some company. It's his pet, Gunter the penguin.

"Gwak Gwak.." Gunter quacked at Ice King.

In response, Ice King sighed. "I just don't know, Gunter. Maybe the things Fin and Jake were saying were right..." Ice King shoveled another handful of potato chips in his mouth.

"Gawk." Gunter quacked again.

"Because they all got together, and started telling me-"

"Gwak." Gunter interrupts.

The Ice King replies with impatience. "Fin, Jake and Marceline. They started telling me about how I used to be some guy called Simon pet...petri....pertrify.... Petry-

"-Gwak."

"Yes, it does matter! The Simon guy apparently was me, and they were telling me about the crown and it... Being alive or something. It seriously gave me the creeps. Something about-"

"-Gwak Gwak."

"Gunter, if you want me to talk, let me talk! Don't go asking all these questions! They were telling me about how I used to be a great guy, but I mean, I already am." Ice King gave out a nervous laughter, showing off all of his pointy teeth. "They think I already am, right?"

The Ice King looked to Gunter, who's penguin face remained expressionless.

The Ice King crunched on some more potato chips.

"Gwak." Gunter quacked again.

"GUNTER DON'T TALK LIKE THAT!" The Ice King lost his patience with the penguin. As he scolded the penguin, he shot ice bolts at the bird, causing the bird to get up and waddle away against the icy floor.

Ice King sits in silence now. He really is alone. Ice king looks at his reflection in the two new mounds of ice he created.

It was a distorted reflection, making Ice King look compressed and stubby. He looked at the compressed crown reflection.

Could that thing really cause such drastic problems? He no longer can take the crown off his head without loosing all of his power.

The way his friends spoke about this Simon guy sounded like he had the better life- not ever lonely, optimistic... It didn't seem at all like they preferred the way he is now. Isn't he optimistic enough now?!

Ice King set his way to find Fin and Jake again. He began to fly by his beard, scouring the land to find those two.

He flew across the barren wastelands, full of cars and other old machine parts.

Someone has got to clean all that mess up.

Ice King flew to the huge tree fort. Ice King knew the place very well; he can find his way inside in the most stealthiest ways. But somehow, Fin and Jake always find him. They're probably really good at that stuff anyway, since they're used to adventuring.
