EPILOGUE

THE END OF A JOURNEY

She stood in front of a wall that was completely covered in reflective material, twisting and turning to admire the scars that were scattered along her delicate wings.

They were her battle scars and they would forever remind her of her experiences.

After the death of the King of Malvat, both Fayre and Adrian worked tirelessly for months to find the survivors from both kingdoms and create a new civilisation to rebuild what was destroyed.

Fayre had freed Asmodeus and summoned Isa home. The reunion was a tear-jerker and a beautiful family moment. Asmodeus told Isa his story and Isa in return retold hers. Azaiyah now has a loving father and that was more than a reward for what had happened here that night.

Fayre Ascended with Adrian by her side once the new and improved Solas was functional. Her scars had healed and yet, not a day went by that she did not admire her own strength and remember what Cael had done for her.

Behind her, the wall of portraits hung proudly.

There was her mother and father, Adrian's parents, even Lady Alexandra and Captain Williams were honoured. While the war was not something people remembered or reminisced about, this wall was to honour those who did not make it out- and those who passed before the time of the Demon war.

Fayre watched in the mirror as Adrian came up behind her, avoiding her spread wings and came to stand beside her. He took his hand in hers and watched her wings in the mirror.

Two rulers. Two side of a coin. Two destinies forever intertwined. Woven together in the fabric of the universe. A pair to be reckoned with.

She smiled at her Demon King.

Everything was going to be alright, she truly believed.
