Now that school was over Beatrice was invited to spend her summer vacation at her best friend's beach house,but she didn't expect her friend's brother to be there after finishing university .

Once I arrived eyeryone was taking their seats at the wooden table. I opened the glass doors that connected the kitchen with the outdoor dining space and took my place next to Xael who immediately saw me and smirked.
They had already started eating and talking when I got there.
"Does everyone have their swimsuits on?" Maddox asked as she put the last plate of food on the table.
I placed my napkin on my lap.
"Of course, mom. I wouldn't dare thinking of going in naked." Xael said while touching his chest with the palm of his hand.
Maddox rolled her eyes dramatically .
"Like anybody would enjoy seeing you wet and naked."
"Oh, I'm sure you would though." He said winking at her. This didn't go unnoticed by Kai who glared at Xael, his eyes saying all what was needed.
Before Kai could say anything, I grabbed the bowl of salad. "I sure would, Black."
He turned to me with a surprised look on his face and I shot him a playful smile with my eyebrow raised waiting for his response.
Maddox started laughing at the look on Xael's face and high-fived me from across the table.
After this everybody started eating and cracking jokes except Kai who hadn't touched his food and was staring at Xael who acted unbothered.
Wanting to see a reaction from Kai I slipped closer to Xael's side an action which he noticed immediately.
Xael leaned close to my ear and whispered: "I know what you're up to, principessa."
"And what do you know exactly, redhead?"
"Well I know for a fact that you're trying to get his attention. I'm yet waiting to know why though? "
"For personal reasons. None of your concern."
"You know,lucky for you I'm feeling generous today and I'm up for a...deal."
"And what would that be ?"
"I'm going to help you at whatever game you're playing but..."
"It's not exactly a game it's more like revenge."
"To-may-to to-mah-to , you can call it whatever you want but my help comes with a price."
"How much do you want?"
"Bea-Bear not everything is about money. Think of it like this; if you want my help you accept my conditions , and of course ... I want my reward too."
"You're being for real? " I asked him with a suspicious look.
"Of course I am. But we wouldn't want you falling for me wouldn't we? And that's exactly why we have conditions..."
"First of all," I interrupted " you're delusional if you think I'm such an easy catch, let go that I'll fall for you. And secondly I have one condition so you hear me carefully." I continued whispering " There'll be no kissing other forms of touching if they aren't for the deal purposes. You hear me clear ?"
"Sure thing Bea-Bear but I have one condition too. At some point of this deal I want to know the real reason why we're doing this or the deal will be off and I'll spill everything to him."
"If that's all you want, okay. You said you also wanted a reward right ?"
"Si, I do. What do you think about this ; you grant me a free wish I can use whenever and wherever I want to. Deal? "
After a few seconds thinking I answered. "Deal." -------------
After Maddox and I cleared the table from all the leftovers we joined the boys who were already at the pool.

I made my way to the edge of the pool, taking off my thin white dress down to my feet. As I did so I noticed that Xael was right behind me and before I could turn around he pushed me to the pool. Trying to hold somewhere I caught the first thing I saw, Xael. With a big splash we both fell loudly to the pool, him over me , laughing.
We came back to the surface only to see that we were inches apart from each other, smiling like little kids.
"Do you think now would be a good time to make the deal real?"
"And what do you have in mind? "
He leaned closer as I closed my eyes feeling his hot minty breath near the lobe of my ear.
"Not much to be real. What do you have in mind?"
I opened my eyes slowly drifting them to his lips.
"I would tell you but it would ruin the element of surprise." I joked still staring at those full lips of his.
I could feel him studying me with his eyes. Suddenly he backed me up to the wall of the pool keeping the same distance as before. He took a strand of my hair and placed it behind my ear.
"You're so damn pretty. Why would you want a prick like him?"
"I have my reasons." I responded dryly not giving much emotion.
"You know you have to tell me at a point?"
"I know, but not yet Black. I don't even know you enough. "
"But you will don't worry" he whispered near my ear "and it'll be a hell of a ride. Just careful not to fall for me too soon."
He faced me smirking, showing his perfectly shaped teeth and that amused look he always had on his eyes.
