Numbness is always overlooked
when experienced.
One gets so tired of
feeling nothing at all,
that they even wish for the
pain to come again.
When the darkness overtakes the stillness,
one then wishes for the
pain to leave once more.
A middle ground is nowhere in sight
within this cage.
