it was january 6th 2020, the day i go back to school. i didn't want to go back to school, nobody ever really wants to go back. I got up and put an outfit on:

i grabbed my airpods and my backpack and went downstairs. i went downstairs to not see my parents who were most likely at work so i just grabbed a banana and granola bar. i filled my hydroflask and put it in my backpack. i turned off all the lights in the house then left to school. i started walking to school then i felt a tap on my back.
"kairi cosentinos what are you doing" kairi was my neighbor of 16+ years. my whole life, his mom and my mom have been best friend since high school and still are to this day. the hang out all the time and that's how kai and i became very close. we're like siblings but sometimes i wish we weren't.
"hi liv where are you going so early this morning?" kai asked
"school you're not" i said
"wait there's school this week?!" he asked
"yes dummy" i said
"omg i got to go tell maiya" he said as i started to laugh "can you come with me please?"
"yes only because i love maiya more the you" i told him. we went inside his house and went to maiyas room.
"there's school today" i said
"ugh whyyy" she said
"mood but go downstairs and i'll pick out something for you to wear. kairi go get dressed" i said. they both went separate ways and i picked something out for maiya to wear for school. i went to kairis rooms and had no shirt on but were basically siblings so me or him didn't really care but he did catch me.
"you like what you see?" he ask
i roll my eyes and sarcasticly say "yeah i love it". he starts to laugh. he finished getting dressed and he got his things then went down stairs.
"i finished getting your clothes they're on your bed in your room" i told maiya
"okay thank you" she said while putting her cereal bowl in the sink and going to her room.
"thank you" he said while smiling.
"for what?" i ask
"for being such a role model to my sister. you treat her so well, even better then i do" he says
"i treat people how they should be treated. she deserves to be treated like a queen" i say while walking to the dishes to go wash then for kais family.
"but you treat me like ass" he says
"like i said i treat people how the should be treated" i say while laughing.
"butthead" he says while walking up to me and putting the bubbly soap on my nose.
"you want to play that game huh" i say while putting it on his nose too
Maiya's POV i finished getting dressed and watched kairi and olivia put soap on each other's face. there's no way that they're not "just" friends. he has to love her more then that. the way they bond and get along is just different then any friendship. i just hope kai tell her his feelings one day. it's obvious he likes her maybe even in love with her i don't know but they're just meant to be.
Olivias POV "i don't want to go to school" i say while moping around the house.
"can we ask our parents if we can stay home?" kairi ask
"i guess but if maiya can't say home then i don't wanna" i say
"okay" kai says. i call my mom and ask her if i can stay with kairi and maiya at home today and she says okay and to be careful. kairis mom says yeah that they can stay home.
"well that was a waste of time" kai says.
"yeah but worth it" i say. we all go into kairis room and film a tiktok all together. we did the dance kai always does and did better then anyone else not gonna lie.
"kairi" i say. he looks up at me and says yeah "where's your razor"
"in the bathroom why?" he ask
"i need it really quick" i say
"okay" he says. i went to the bathroom and grabbed it. i brang it back to his room.
"that was quick" he says
"i try to be" i say. i lay down right next to him seeing him scroll through tiktok. i try to pull at the razor but he says
"i'm gonna go live"
"okay" i say. he gets up and sits at his desk. he goes on his live and while he's yelling at alexa i go up to his chin and shave off his wanna be beard because it wasn't cute at all. he looks at me with his eyes wide and his mouth wide open
"olivia!" he shouts. everyone in his live is putting the "😂" emoji and i'm laughing. he grabs the camera and points it to his chin.
"you're so dead" he says wheel running towards me and i run to maiyas room.
"woah what happened did y'all just-" she ask
"MAIYA COSENTINO IM GONNA SLAP YOU!" i yell and she laughs. kairi starts pounding on the door.
"okay okay but what happened" she ask
"i shaved some of his beard off" i say
"oh my god" she says. kairi finally gets the door open and grabs me.
"AHH KAIRI COSENTINO PUT ME DOWN THIS INSTANT BEFORE I SLAP YOU" i yell.
"this is what you get" he says.
"i just did what everyone wants you to do" i say.
"they didn't want it" he says
"bet" i say. then all the comments came rolling in that they wanted it. "HA what did i say"
"oh my god" he says while putting me down "alright guys we'll i'm gonna end it because i'm gonna hang out with maiya and my hater but bye"
"kai can we go to your room for a second please" i ask
"why?" he ask
"KAI!" i yell
"ouuuuuuuu" maiya says and i stick out my tongue. we walk to his room and sit on his bed.
"did you want to apologize?" he ask
"no but your sister knows what you know the..." i ask
"are you talking about- Oh OH MY GOD THATS DISGUSTING" kai says
"when i ran to her room she asked me if me and you just you know" i say
