Chapter 11

Chad's P.O.V.

Stella have been asleep for 3 hours and it's 1 in the morning and here I am, still awake. I've been watching Stella sleep as I think about the war. I just can't get my mind off of it. Especially when Stella tells us more information about what they're gonna do.

I get out of the bed, not waking up Stella, and the walk over to the balcony. I stare at the forest.

I then think to myself about the future. What's it gonna be like? There's so many questions that I want answers to.

I turned around to look at Stella but see that she's not in the bed. Next thing I know, I feel two arms wrap around my waist. I look down and see it's Stella. I sigh in relief and smile down at her.

She looks up at me and asks, "You okay?"

I turn in her arms so I'm looking at her and say, "Yea, just thinking."

"About?" She asks.

I sigh and say, "About the war and everything." Stella lays her head on my chest as I run my fingers through her hair.

"I'm sure everything will be okay." she says. I tighten the hold I have on her, knowing she's right.

A lot has happened in my life. I'm just hoping Stella will be okay when I lead the soldiers to the war. Or should I stay with her? Ugh, I don't know what to do anymore. I don't have much time. I'll make a decision two days before the war.

I look down at Stella and see that she's getting sleepy. I swop down and pick her up bridal style. As I hold her, she lays her head on my chest and I carry her back to bed.

When I lay her down, I walk around the bed and lay next to her and we both fall back asleep until the sun rises up, and shines through the window.

~Time skip to the morning~

I start to wake up when the light shines through the room. I sit up on the bed and looked down at Stella and see her still sleeping. I look at the door as I hear a soft knock. I get up from the bed and walked over to the door and open it. As I open it, there's one the servants standing in front of me.

"Sir, the king wishes for your presence in his study." she says then bows her head at me.

"Of course. Tell my father I'll be there soon." Once I said that, she walks away from the door and goes to tell the king my message. I close the door and start to get dressed.

As I put my boots on, I hear a small yawn. I look behind me and see Stella awake. I smile at her and say, "Morning." I stand up and walk over to her as she looks at me and sits up on the bed.

"Morning." She says. Then I swoop down and give her a quick kiss.

"I have to go talk to my father so a little while. Why don't you freshen up, get dressed, eat, and maybe, if I'm done by then, we can explore the castle for a while. How does that sound?" Stella nods and smiles at me. I smile back then say, "See you soon beautiful."

I make my way to open and leave the room.

Stella's P.O.V.

"See you soon beautiful." Chad says before he leaves the room. I love it when he says cute things to me.

I take the blankets off, climb out of bed, and make my way to the bathroom. I walk over to the tub and start running warm water and add some rose bath bubbles. As the tub fills, I take off my clothes and put my hair up into a messy bun.

When the tub is filled, I turn off the water, step into the water, and relax. I lay my head against the rib of the tub and start to think about what the rest of the castle looks like.

Then a weird thought pops into my mind. Little kids running around the castle halls with toy swords.

That puts a smile on my face.

I'm curious if I should tell Chad about that thought or if I should wait till I'm pregnant.

Just have to wait and see.
