The door to the wedding hall had hardly swung back and clicked shut before it opened again.

"Yoongi!"

"Go away, Hoseok."

"Excuse me?," Yoongi watched (mentally kicking himself) as Hoseok's features went from worried to annoyed, "You were coming to talk to me. What were you going to say before--"

"Before our song came on? I - I don't remember," Yoongi lied. "You should get going or your date will be wondering where you are."

"My date...? ...Taehyung?" Hoseok glanced back inside to the wedding hall through the windowed door and Yoongi's eyes couldn't help but follow.

They could easily spot Taehyung in his gold suit jacket. And they could both clearly see that Taehyung had found plenty of groomsmen to keep him occupied on the dancefloor.

Hoseok turned back to the rapper, "He and Jimin and I know each other from school. We're not - I don't have - we're here as friends to celebrate Jimin and Namjoon."

The older man just stared. He should have known. From the way Jimin and his soulmate interacted, the nicknames and hand-holding shouldn't have set off so many alarms in his head.

But this was Hoseok. When it came to Hoseok he was an idiot.

Yoongi felt relief wash over him. And, then he immediately felt like an asshole for feeling relieved that Hoseok was single.

"We should go back inside. You're the best man." Hoseok said this as he opened the door, motioning with his head toward the huge room where everyone was still enjoying themselves.

The hum of laughter and conversation carried out into the hallway all before the dj called into the microphone, "All right, folks. Let's slow it down. I want all the lovers on the dancefloor!"

There were some scattered cheers for the newlyweds as they made their way to the middle of the other guests on the floor.

Yoongi took a step back, shaking his head, "I think I've done my job in there."

Hoseok let the door fall closed, muffling the sound of the soft cello rendition of Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You.

Of course Jimin would play that song.

A hand squeezing lightly on his shoulder pulled him out of his trance. When had Hoseok even moved? "Yoongi, are you--"

" 'M fine."

He wasn't. Hoseok was so close. So close.

But Yoongi wanted to be closer.

Was he just losing his mind or was the lobby becoming an actual inferno?

"I'm just feeling a bit overheated. I'm going to go for a walk."

"I... Should I come with you?"

Yoongi knew for a fact that he should not. The music seemed to become louder, the lyrics (though absent in the cello cover) played in Yoongi's mind - taunting him.

He found it hard to breathe suddenly and turned on his heel walking toward the door at the far left of the lobby that led to the parking lot.

"Yoongi... Wait a second."

Hoseok's voice echoed in his mind as he began to walk faster. He pushed the door open and was met with the bright lamp posts of the parking lot. The air was instantly cooler, frigid, and Yoongi simply stood, breathing deep as if it were his first breath after nearly drowning.
