I took my precious time eating and finding a nice outfit. Nunu decided on going to the Dave and Buster of all places.
During the car ride, Ny ranted on and on about Anastasia "Sounds like you're in loveeeee" Nuri cooed in her ear

"You crazy love is a beautiful thing. Especially when you both crazy about each other" She declared confidently
"Lil girl you haven't even been in a relationship or experienced the big L. How you going to give me advice?"

By the time we got done with all the activities, Nunu planned it was dark and I'm beyond tired.
"Damn it's dark" I announced touching the wall until I found the light switch and flicked it up
"Surprise!" People yelled making me jump and hold my chest

"Thank you baby" I wrapped my arms around her waist carefully

The festivities continued for a few hours, as I had trays of food sent up continuously. What Ny, Sakani, and Vaughn didn't devour, everyone else thoroughly enjoyed.

As evening approached, everybody settled down to let Los unwrap her gifts. She grinned widely at each one, thanking the giver multiple times before moving on to the next one.
The entire time I couldn't stop thinking this is probably her first real birthday in a long time with people who truly love and care about her
The thought made me overflow with joy. She got to where she wanted to be and I was there by her side to witness it.
"You so cliche I hate you" She lightly punched Ny arm eyeing the frame full of pictures of them over the years
"It took me two months to finish that. You know I'm lazy"

Going through the bag she pulled out swim trunks, glasses, sunscreen and an envelope "To my future wife and partner in crime, you are hard-working and what other way to enjoy your birthday rather than being on the beach" She read with her face scrunched up

Seeing the two tickets to the Bahamas she gasped "This better not be a joke Loyal"
"I was listening when by you said you wanted to go out of the country"
"I don't know if my gift will top a trip to the Bahamas but I got you something too" Pop stood up coming to Los "Happy birthday Nessa" He dangled a pair of keys
"Don't tell me those the keys to your 67"

Standing up she cleared her throat before speaking "On special days like we all know I'm not too excited about it. Birthdays have just been another day to me but last year I wished for something and it came true surprisingly. I asked for my soulmate and to build a better relationship with friends and family"
