I faded in and out of sleep as I heard quiet giggles that started to wake me up. I blinked a few times, my mouth dry. Confusion washed over me and I let out a small whine. That only caused more giggles and I rubbed my eyes. I looked and saw Cherry and Lily standing over me as I slept on the couch, my phone in their hands as they kept taking pictures.
"Wh-what?" I mumbled.
"You're awake!" Cherry exclaimed.
I took my phone from her hand and gasped when I saw they had taken over a thousand pictures together.
"Wow," I muttered. "Have you two been having fun then?"
Lily giggled and nodded.
"Alright, where's mommy?" I asked.
"Mommy took Gee Bee to the doctor's," Cherry said.
"Wait, what time is it?" I asked.
"I can't read, Daddy," Lily said.
"Yes you can," I said, going to the kitchen to look at the clock.
It turns out that I had slept for a few hours and there was a note on the fridge.
You looked so cute asleep so I left you there while I went to take Gee to his appointment. We'll be home soon

I smiled softly and took the note down.
"Daddy, my tummy was rumblin'," Cherry said.
I opened up the fridge and bit my lip before handing them both packages of string cheese, helping them open it. They ate at the table the table happily and I yawned, running a hand through my hair.
"Is Miles upstairs?" I asked.
The girls nodded and I went up to his room. I found him sitting at his desk with my laptop playing a video game.
"How long have you been on the computer?" I asked.
"Not long," he said.
"You should come out of your room and play outside," I said.
"I'm busy," he said.
"Can you pause that?" I asked.
"It's online, Dad," Miles said. "You can't pause."
I sighed, walking downstairs when I heard a car pull up to the driveway. I smiled and opened the front door as Gee ran up to me. I smiled, giving him a hug.
"Hey, sweetheart," I said.
"Hi, Daddy," Gee said. "I gotted a lollipop from the doctor."
"Really?" I asked. "That's cool, what flavor was it?"
"Red flavor, Daddy," he said.
I smiled, kissing his cheek. Jamia was grabbing grocery bags from the car and I hurried over to help her. I gave her a kiss and she smiled.
"Hey, Baby, I missed you," I said.
"How long have you been awake?" She asked.
"Not long," I admitted. "The girls took my phone and took a bunch of pictures."
"They love doing that," she said.
I smiled, giving her another kiss.
"I love you," I said. "How'd Gee's appointment go?"
She sighed. "Well, his weight is okay. They were worried about him becoming obese and getting diabetes because that's kind of common with undernourished children. But that seems to be okay. But the doctor is thinking about getting him glasses to wear when he's watching tv and reading. And there is a deficiency of fluids and electrolytes in his kidney, which isn't good."
