It's New Year's Eve and the countdown is getting closer and closer. A young Korean American lad who's diagnosed with autism walks out of GameStop after returning Pokémon Sword and Shield games. His plastic shopping bag carries vintage Pokémon games from the golden age where things were more meaningful and impactful.
Y/N: "That was a waste of my time and money! These two sorry excuse of my childhood franchise are proof that the Official Pokémon team or Directors are losing their creativity and imagination for the world of Pokemon! Even the YouTuber group Mr Buddy have more if not impactful ideas that are the epitome of what imagination and inspiration is capable of! Don't forget the fan-made project Pokémon Uranium and that is still a damn good fan-made game! What's even worse, the official Pokémon company took it down! It's probably due to jealousy!"
*Sigh* My ranting aside. I should get home soon, otherwise I'll worry everyone back at the house. I'll walk to an area where I can call Lyft home.
The young man goes on a enthusiastic walk because why not? As he steps onto the crosswalk, a young couple and a pair of kids playing Pokémon Go while walking. One of the kids wears a Ash Ketchum hat that's from the OG season 1. The four of them are wearing cordless headphones. Seeing that, shakes his head with disdain.
Y/N: "Not my problem."
As the young man and the four individuals cross the street, the sound of a car engine roars from the left. He glances to the left and spots an irresponsible driver with his headphones on driving a red Ferrari(latest model) at extreme speed. Y/N realizes that the family in front is in imminent danger. He sprints as fast as he could and pushes them out of the way resulting in his painful demise.
He flung like a rag doll and landed on the stoplight(Charlie brown style) and falls on the street pavement painfully. But wait there's more! The accident caused quite the chaos at the intersection and in that moment, a bus pulls on the brakes and tries to stop itself. But unfortunately, it wasn't enough as the bus ran over the heavily injured young man's legs and turned it into meat-paste.
The broken young man who's in a bloody mess looks up at the the sky as that's the only direction he can look at. He feels his right hand clutching onto something and it was the kid's hat.
Y/N: (I don't know whether to laugh or to cry at my luck.)
As the crippled young man is staring up at the night sky, shadows of several people hover over him. What he doesn't know is the police arrested the reckless rich driver as he cries and resists arrest but it's useless. Y/N spots the young couple dialing 911. The two kids who were there earlier are observing him as this is the first time they see a car accident and up close.
Y/N gives the hat back to the kid who was wearing the hat and says with his dying breath, "That's an awesome hat, don't lose it next time."
With one last smile, his vision fades to complete darkness as the sound of sirens, murmurs, screams and chaos echo into the background.
In the pitch black space, there's a gray orb to light adrift in the void. That gray orb is the deceased unfortunate laddie.
Y/N: "Where am I? Is this Limbo or Hell?"
"Neither", an unknown powerful voice booms.
Arceus appears before Y/N in his majestic glowing form.Y/N: "Wow, it's not everyday that you see Arceus."
Arceus: "You're not alarmed at my appearance?"
Y/N: "That's for normal people."
Arceus: "Hahaha, you're quite an amusing human."
