3RD POV:
zach walked through the hallway, his hands holding down in the straps of his backpack as he reached his locker where one of his airpods was taken out by none other then jack avery himself, when zach turned around he did not expect zach with two other guys behind him.

"hey zach i want to introduce you to some old friends," jack smirked as the same smirked was plastered in both of the others guys faces.

"this is dylan berks and that's grayson frowns," introduce jack as the zach send a small smile towards the boy, trying to hide the disgust because of knowing damn well what one of them did to the person he loved.

"guys this is zach herron," jack then told the other guys as this time it was their turn to smile.

"it was nice meeting you guys but i have to go now," zach said as he closed his locker throwing his backpack over his shoulder.

"where are you going?" asked jack confused and suspicious.

"i'm meeting up with corbyn,"  zach smiled nervously as he grabbed his airpods once again.

"but corbyn just went out with christina," jack told the guy a puzzled look on his face as zach's lips went on a thin line.

"he did well i guess i'll ask jonah to hang out,"

"dude he's with emma,"

"you know what i'm going home," zach gave up as he threw his hands in the air.

"hey you can hang out with us if you want?" suggested dylan as zach shook his head in disagreement.

"no thank you now that i remembered i have to babysit reesee ok bye," zach waved as he put both of his airpods in and speed walked out of the school's hallways.

"butterfly i got caught lying twice," zach laughed as he drove down to the girl's house.

"sorry zachary you're just not good at lying," giggled eliza as she shook her head.

"are you excited to meet my grandma?" eliza asked her lips in a thin line as she moved her head to the rhythm of the music playing on the radio.

"of course i'm excited to meet your literal best friend," zach exclaimed happily as you could see the smile on his face.

"grandma we're here," half yelled eliza as she got inside the house zach following close behind her.

"beth baby you made it," her grandma happily ran out of the kitchen to great the two teens.

"grandma this is zach herron," eliza introduced the elder to the young boy who happily went for a hug and from behind zach's back eliza's grandma quickly mouthed "he's a keeper" as eliza rolled her eyes playfully.

"it's so nice to finally meet you mrs. hawk," smiled zach as he pulled away from the hug the elder returning the smile as well.

"eliza is always talking about you," grandma said as she took zach's hand dragging him to the kitchen.

"grandma," whined eliza as she took a seat in front of zach.

"it's the truth so zach i'm assuming you drink energy drinks?" grandma asked as she gave eliza her usual drink as zach nodded, grandma putting a drink in front of the young boy.

"grandma zach was the guy who daniel blackmailed with," eliza told her grandma making zach chuckle as her grandma raised an eyebrow.

"well he got what he deserved no one can hurt my precious beth i promised myself i'll protect her after the—"

"grandma," eliza cut her grandma off smiling softly at the older woman who nodded.

"he knows about the part i'm not keeping secrets," added eliza as zach nodded, grandma smiling in approval.

"i'm glad you finally found someone better," grandma happily exclaimed as she grabbed her tea sitting down.

"beth baby can you go grab me my jacket upstairs in my room i'm cold," grandma pleaded as eliza nodded heading upstairs.

"ok no listen here zachary, i can tell you're a great guy and i appreciate you being by my nieces side but please go slow on her"

"she still hasn't recovered from the party and she still gets nightmares from it so please be delicate with her, i haven't seen her this happy ever since she dated that dirty bastard and i'm glad she's going back to her old self just please don't mistreat her trust because you will deal with me if she goes through everything she went," nani explained to zach who nodded taking a gulp of his drink.

"i can promise you mrs. hawk i love your niece with all my heart and even though she might not know it yet i still love her more then i've ever loved someone and i'll promise that i'll never hurt such a pure soul and i'll always keep her safe," assured zach as he send a soft smile towards the older lady.

"here you go grandma," smiled eliza as she walked inside the room setting the jacket in her grandma's shoulder slightly kissing her head.
