Carter lifts her head up, startled by the pounding at her door. She gets up, wrapping her blanket around herself and leaving the room. The pounding only gets louder as she approaches the door leading into her apartment. She slowly grabs the handle before ripping the door open. Pierre jumps and takes a step back.
"Jesus Christ, Lovelock. First, you refuse to answer your phone and now you're trying to freak me out. Get dressed then get out to Oscar's truck. He and Jade saw something last night and they're freaked right the fuck out. We're going to breakfast because they feel this is important for everyone to know. Hurry up. We've been trying to call you for the last twenty minutes."
Carter nods and takes a step back.
"Feel free to come in," she offers. "I'll be five minutes tops."
"I'll be out in the truck. I left Yumi with Oscar and Jade so she probably hates me right now. Don't be too long."
He turns and starts down the hall. Carter goes back to her room to get dressed. She barely opens her closet before looking back at her phone on her nightstand. She can see the cord hanging from her phone so she knows she plugged it in last night. She approaches it and follows the cord to the wall, seeing her charger got disconnected from the outlet.
"Oh for- Are you fucking kidding me?" she sighs.
Carter plugs her phone in again before going to her closet to get dressed.

Yumi drums her fingers on her leg, staring at the door waiting for Carter to join the rest of the group. Oscar's been staring out his side window and Jade's had her eyes glued to the floor.
The blonde exits the building, running towards where Oscar's truck is always parked. She opens one of the backseat doors and climbs over Jade to sit in the middle. Once the door's shut, Oscar shifts the truck into reverse and starts backing out of his spot.
"Good morning Team," Carter greets. "My phone charger got unplugged so my phone didn't start charging last night."
"Actually, same," Yumi tells her. "I got lucky though because my phone was almost halfway charged when I plugged it in."
"So last night was full of weird shit," Jade mumbles to herself, turning her gaze so she's looking out the window.
"Oscar are you sure you're feeling up to driving? You seem a little out of it," Pierre says.
"I could drive to Claudia's in my sleep," he scoffs. "We'll be fine."
Pierre reaches forward and pats Oscar's shoulder. No one talks during the drive to the diner. Oscar finds a spot and parks. They all get out and head inside, going to their usual booth with Oscar and Pierre on one side, Jade, Carter, and Yumi on the other. An older waitress approaches them, a pot of coffee in one hand and menus in the other.
"Well it's you kids again," the woman laughs. "Haven't seen you all at all during the summer. I'm glad to see you all together. The usual?"
"That would be amazing, Cynthia," Oscar says with a smile.
"Coffee, coffee," she points to Oscar and Carter, "Green tea," she points to Yumi, "Earl Grey tea," she points to Pierre, "And any fruity tea?" She points to Jade.
"Nailed it," Jade laughs.
"Great," the woman says, filling first Carter's then Oscar's mugs with coffee. "Well, I'll go put the usual order in and grab those teas for you."
The woman leaves the table with a smile on her face. Pierre shakes his head as Oscar grabs his mug.
"Good old Cynthia. Getting on the old side but sharp as a whip," Pierre jokes.
