I tied my hair into a bun and wore a black turtleneck, long sleeve shirt. Dillon then came barging in,

"Are you really going to compete against Mr. Liam?" I put on my black loafers and threw a cropped fluffy sweater over my outfit. I then answer,

"I made the bet didn't I?" Dillon crossed his arms and sighed.

"Winter, you know that mom is already mad at you enough, why are you causing more trouble?"

"I'm only trying to stop Liam from making a personal proposal," I said, emphasizing on 'personal'.

"Yeah, everyone knows you both canceled the arranged marriage, but you can't just bluntly deny Mr. Liam's proposal. He has more social power than you."

I glare at Dillon as he shrugged with an 'I know I'm right' face. I then walked out of my room having Dillon follow behind my back. As I was walking down the stairs, my mom was waiting for me in the living room. My father and his three brothers with their wives were also there, including my mother's three girl-friends. There goes my whole family.

"Winter, we don't want you to injure yourself. Do you really want to do this?" asked my dad.

"You want me to live with our enemy's daughter?" I ask.

"You're marrying Mr. Liam to make amends with our enemy. So, yes," answered my mom. I rolled my eyes and strutted out the front door. My family's bodyguard opened the door to a black Lamborghini as I jumped in. My family also jumped into other cars that were sitting behind me. We all then drove off.

I entered the desolate place which had trees surrounding the area with two targets standing about fifty meters away from what looked like a park shelter. Flora and Liam with their family were there. Liam was standing under the shelter and waved at me. Ugh, annoying. I walked up to him as he asked,

"So, what's with the outfit? It's not a fashion show competition, you know?"

"What's with your mouth today? You should learn how to shut up one day," I shot back. Liam smirked, showing a faint dimple. He then handed me an armed guard, a plastic chest protector, and a finger tab. I took off my sweater and wore the gear.

"Winter's your name, right?" asked Liam.

"Since you researched about me, I thought you already knew," I said, emphasizing the word 'researched'.

"It's a pretty name." Liam gave a flirtatious grin and winked at me. Ew, disgusting.

"Shall we start?" Liam asked.

"What's the rules?"

"I came up with it, but don't worry, it's not hard." Liam jumped on the wooden platform and grabbed his bow. He continued, "All you gotta do is hit the bullseye six times."

"That's it?"

"Woah there, don't get too cocky. That said, you only have six tries. If you can't get six bullseyes, the amount you did hit the bullseye will be your final score. If the amount of your bullseye hit is higher than mine, you win."

"Alright, seems fair." I step onto the platform and look at the target that was fifty meters away from me. I raised my hand and aimed my arrow towards the target.

"Wait," interrupted Liam.

"What?" I asked impatiently.

"You think I was gonna let you go and say, 'ladies first'? Nope, in your dreams." Liam held the bow with his right hand, aimed the arrow towards the target and drew the arrow back towards his face. His form was beautiful, parallel to the ground and kept a firm stance. His bicep appeared, making it look easy. He slowly let go of a breath and,

WHOOSH!

The arrow twirled in a spiral form in the air past Liam's cheek and hit the bullseye of the target. Everyone around us gasped and clapped. I was surprised at how well he shot his first bullseye but I wasn't going to let him beat me that easy. Liam then turned towards me and smirked.

"One out of six bullseyes. Let's take turns shooting, fair?" asked Liam.

"Whatever, as long as I get the most bullseye hit, I win." I raised my bow and drew the drawstring back, using my chin as a reference point. I then released the string as the arrow danced in the air, also hitting the bullseye. I look back at Liam. He made a sarcastic surprised look and clapped mockingly. I rolled my eyes and watched him shoot again. Another bullseye. He wasn't a bad shooter.

I take another bullseye again. Liam took another. I did again. We repeated the same process until we got to the final showdown. Liam was at five bullseyes and so was I.

"We're at a tie, Winter. You excited?" asked Liam as he smirked.

"Why do you keep smirking? You think you're gonna win?" I ask.

"Correct." I ignore Liam and took my stance, pulling the drawstring back with aching fingers. I exhaled and closed one of my eyes, letting the wind brush past my face. Liam then provoked,

"Winter, you think you're really gonna make that one? It looks like your fingers are aching. Do you need me to do it for you instead?" Liam chuckled and leaned against the wooden pillar behind him. I then felt Liam observing me. The intimidation feeling squeezed my chest. I was nervous, why?

As I was about to release my bow, Liam then asked,

"You wanna become my mistress instead of a waitress?" My aching fingers lost its grip on the arrow and released it into the air, missing the bullseye. I dropped my bow and quickly turned towards Liam, grabbing him by his shirt.

"What did you say?" I shout. Liam raised his hands in surrender.

"Winter!" my mom yelled.

"Hey, calm down. That's if I only win. Oh wait, I'm about to win either way," said Liam as he smirked. I yelled and threw a hook on Liam's face. He staggered back and fell onto his ass as my dad came running to hold me back.

"Let go of me, dad!" I yelled in frustration. I kicked and struggled in my dad's strong arms. Liam's mother and a man kneeled beside Liam. Flora also checked up on Liam and held his hand like he was about to die. Oh, they already have that kind of relationship? I thought.

"Winter, stop your childish act right now!" shouted my mom in front of my face. Dillon who was watching me palmed his face. Liam then stood up and wiped the cut on his lip with his thumb, smirking. I wanted to make another punch on that asshole so much!

As soon as I saw Liam get himself back up to the floor and picked up his bow, I struggled in my father's arms more than before. I scratched my father's arms but he didn't lose his grip on me. I screamed and kicked.

Then, Liam drew the drawstring back and released it. I stopped making a fuss and looked at the target. The arrow had struck the bullseye. I was in despair, disappointment, and frustration. I didn't make any moves as my eyes began to blur in frustration. When my dad realized I wasn't making a fuss anymore, he slowly released me as I shook him off.

"Winter, can't you ever do anything without fighting?" lectured my mom. Liam then walked towards me with a smirk on his face and his bow in his hand.

"I knew you were going to lose. That's why I told you to not get cocky," said Liam. I sneered at him as he landed his hand on top of my shoulder. He whispered,

"I hope you become a successful mistress of mine." Liam then walked away cooly with his family glaring at me. Flora walked up to me and patted on the same place Liam touched me.

"Poor Winter is going to become a mistress, huh? You should've never made the bet," snickered Flora. What an asshole she was. Flora strutted away as her family also glared at us contemptuously.

"Those bastards are really going to get stomped on later on. I want to beat the crap out of those youngsters," said my mom. My dad sighed and so did Dillon. I was still furious. I then took up my courage and realized that this wasn't the end. I wanted to get my revenge.

This was how I was going to become a Mistress.
