Oh, Ny

I really regret ever turning back on you. Especially, when you needed me the most.

But me being the most horrible person, decided to never be related to the same thread as you. How could I? What got over me, then? I keep asking them to myself, only to not get an answer.

But Nylah, you must know that not everyone who ever left had the reason they showed on the surface as the truthful one. Even they would have faced something terrible.

Always yours,
Nellie

Adrenaline rush to my boot clad feet as it scurries over roofs and past mansions. But the view is one to live for. And being able to see that blend with the dark dusk is much more of an exhilarating feel. Because they resemble the stars like diamonds, glimmering it's hardest not to outwit the other, but to bring it's full potential.

Chill wind entangled among my ebony waves, making them sway to its music. Trying to tame them, I came across a shadow. Seeming too suspicious, I decide to follow. But speed was never my thing, I lost them.

Changing my direction, I slither through the city; like a shadow amidst the people. Like a black cat, unnoticed in the darkness. Except they say to be careful of its eyes, the most bright and sharp one. My stealth carried me to my destination, the Vennilave street.

In front of me stood a brown house that radiated warmness even from the outside. More like used to. I passed by the lawn, eyes skimming through the memories that are embedded within the heart. I looked back up at the house. No lights, not been housed for years. Placing my palms on the shut door, I lean my forehead on to it and close my eyes.

I dance through the ballroom of memories. To the tunes of inevitable pain from those of immense happiness. Wondering why all those happened had to, slicing the smiles to those of tears and agony. Tearing off bonds and hearts in the process. Creating a rift between truth and lies whilst taking away what was cherished. Isolating a little girl from joys the world could have offered instead clouded her vision with doubt and confusion.

Warm tears threaten to spill and for the first time, I let them. I let myself go. The tears holding all my miseries, pain, frustration and anger roll down my cheeks. My heart splits into shards like glass. Every emotion, conflicting. Every memory tearing as if it was mere paper.

I open my eyes with green flames burning in them. The anger seething out in forms of fumes. I must find out what happened and what is being hidden from me. All the secrets they kept and all the lies that were hidden behind the words of truth. Because if they hadn't existed none of this would have happened.

Moving towards a small sign board that was designed by a naive little girl, my fingers brushed over the dusty and fading letters that were carved to words that read Callisto's tiny world. A sad smile stretched on my face as I found myself reminiscing little fingers that tore through the wood with the help of rough and strong hands which would never be felt again.

When the sound of a cracking branch stick brings me back from the reverie, causing alertness. But when I glanced to the direction I saw no one. My head seemed to doubt it though after seeing footprints of mud. Having half of my face covered as a part of the disguise is indeed a luck in such situations that I took advantage of it.
