New Start

After the talk about getting civilization back, Senku decides to check out his trap. Yukiko follows him while inspecting some stone weapons that Senku has made.

"Did you really make this by yourself?" Yukiko asks in amazed.

"Of course, I am. It took so much effort just to find the correct stone," Senku says and pulls out a red stone. "This stone is tough as hell."

"Hee... Really, I'm still amazed with how you can adapt right away with this situation. Even I don't think I can handle it alone," Yukiko grab the stone at look at it.

After several minutes, they finally arrive at the place Senku has set a trap. A deer is already hanging up by a rope. Senku pumps his hand in the air let out a smirk on his face.

"I'm master of science," Senku says proudly.

Senku turns to Yukiko to brag about it but stops when he sees her reaction. Yukiko wide her eyes, seeing that a deer is hang up by a rope. Notice her reaction, Senku lets out a chuckle.

He sets the deer down before tying it. Senku pulls out his knife. He squats down next to the deer who still struggle to escape. Yukiko squats next to Senku and notices his expression.

"Can you do it?" Yukiko asks.

"Of course, I am. In our time, we already had eaten meat. It's illogical to be hesitating now," Senku answers arrogantly.

"As expected," Yukiko let out a sigh before hold out her hand. "Give me another knife. I will take the skin to make us clothes."

Senku doesn't answer it and just give a knife to her. He started to do his work while Yukiko stares at the knife in her hand.

To be the truth, Yukiko doesn't like the idea to kill the deer. The reason is, she hates seeing blood. Not only that, killing the deer is the same idea as kill the living being. It reminds her of a bad memory.

Yukiko shakes her head and focusing her eyes. Keeping that naïve thinking in this world is the same as game over. There is no 100% they can stay safe in this stone world. Therefore, she needs to keep herself. She is in the stone world now. She should not act like a coward, especially in front of Senku.

"What the hell I scared of!? I just made a freaking promise with him earlier, there is no way this kind of thing hold me!" Yukiko says to herself frustrate.

Senku notices her behavior. After all, both of them already friends since middle school. He knows that Yukiko hates blood. Actually, he plans to ask the girl to look around the wood while he doing the shred job. However, when Yukiko suddenly offers the job, Senku decides to keep down his intentions. He knows that Yukiko wants to overcome her weakness.

Senku stops his work and looks at Yukiko from the corner of his eyes.

"Are you do it or not?" Senku asks which makes Yukiko snap out from her though.

"Yeah. Sorry," Yukiko points her knife to the deerskin.

Yukiko does her work in silent. Tries to keep her posture when there is the blood that squirts to her hand. On the other hand, Senku just smirks before continue his work.

After an hour, they finally finish it. Senku cover the meat with some leaf, decides to take it back to their fireplace. He looks at Yukiko who is rolling the skin.

"Let's go back," Senku says to Yukiko.

"Oh, before that. Where is the river? I want to clean this first," Yukiko lifts the bloody skin to Senku.
