Hey its sjthewolfboss! How are you liking my story so far? Feel free to check out my other amazing stories!
Sierra-
Last Saturday I graduated from college with a GPA of 3.8 and I am very proud! My parents were exceptionally pleased with me and I would like to keep it that way. I also completed my internship which to me years to finish. I started my volunteer work at 18 in a local pediatric office and worked my way up to helping with psychiatric work.
My boyfriend Zack is happy for me as well. Zack and I have been together since high school, we met at 16 and he was my first boyfriend. I did everything with him, we learned together as a couple. We learned how to drive, we graduated high school together, and we also worked at the same job for awhile. My life was turning out great and I am eternally grateful for it.
My mom pulls me gently by the arm so I can take pictures with my diploma. My whole family came to this event and my mom said I had to take pictures with every single family member that arrived. She was only excited for me so I obeyed her with respect. My boyfriend came up to me and kissed my cheek while my mom snapped a picture. I was blushing while begging my mom to delete it. I'm glad she didn't because the pictures came out perfect!
Two Months Later:
I do not understand why it's taking me so long to find a job. I did the schooling, I got the grades, I did my hours and still nothing! If i's the experience, I should have enough because of all the hours I put in. How am I supposed to gain experience if you do not give me a chance to shine? Logic... That's okay because the right job will be waiting for me. I just need to stay positive and keep on trying! So one day, I will get the job I deserve and worked hard for.
I filled out three more applications online and I will call them tomorrow to see if they received my application. The key is to be persistent, it shows that you want the job! I feel my phone buzzing in my pocket and the caller ID said Zack/Boyfriend so I answered it.
Me: Hey Zack what's up?
Zack: Not much! I just got home from work.
Me: Oh, how was work?
Zack: It was alright, but at least it pays the bills.
Me: Yeah...
Zack: Don't worry Sierra the right job will come at the right time.
Me: I know but it's killing me to live off my parents like this!
Zack: Lots of students do that when they need to, don't worry just keep trying, ok?
Me: Ok
Zack: I got to go, I will call you before I go to bed. I love you.
Me: Love you too!
The Next Day:
It seems easier for him to say those things because he has a job. Whatever! I will find one. Two hours of me searching go by and I find this add? The add says, "Looking for experienced Psychiatrists." The way it's stated is unusual. "Experienced Psychiatrists," sounds like basic psychiatrists are not qualified enough. I laugh and go for it!
So basically the job I just applied for is a chance for newly experienced Psychiatrist's to come to a real mental institute to help diagnose patients. If I got the job, I will be payed hourly with $14 an hour. That's exceptionally good considering the average CNA only gets $12 an hour which is sadly true. I call and ask for the person in charge of hiring. She was put on the phone right away and I tried to stay confident.
Hello, my name is Sierra Daniels, I heard about the advertisement about hiring psychiatrist? Yes, hello that is true. I just wanted to let you know that I filled out my application and I am interested in this job opportunity. Okay Sierra, do you live near our facility? Yes I do! I would rather meet you in person, my name is Anna James. Would you be available tomorrow at 3:00pm? Yes I am. Ok see you tomorrow, bye.
Omg! I can't believe I have a shot to prove that I am worthy for this job. I am so excited but very nervous, I honestly believe I am ready to work. My nerves can't keep me down because I can do this!
