That's what Nalani had thought when the year 2020 rolled around. She thought everything would just fall into place, but like everyone else she had to make it happ...

"Aww, she look at the baby!" Courtney cooed as they all received a text.
Victor had texted them with a little postcard picture. Mark was finally a god dad, and he was ecstatic. They weren't at all shocked that Victor delivered the news, since he was the only one who could keep a secret long enough.

"3!" Mark yelled as he grabbed Nalani's waist.
"2!" Nalani yelled as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
"1!" They yelled together as they embraced one another in a passionate kiss.
As the fireworks boomed loud in the sky, Nalani and Mark were so focused on each other. They were all currently outside at the bridge celebrating the New Year.
Nalani's hands came up and held Mark's face as she pecked his lips repeatedly. The diamond ring on her left ring finger glistened in the moonlight as she ran her fingers through Mark's hair. A year after they graduated Mark had dyed his hair a light auburn color before he finally let his brown roots settle in and grow out.
"Where is Penny, Kwasi, and Victor?" Courtney, Penny's little cousin, asked as she sipped from her champagne fluke. She moved into the city a month after Penny and them moved out of the small town.
"I don't know, but just give them some time," Mark answered as he kept his hands around Nalani's waist. They were happily engaged for about 3 weeks and couldn't believe that it was all finally happening.
"Yeah, you probably right." Courtney was always trying to think of everyone else that she barely had time to figure herself out.
"Happy New Year!" Nalani heard her cousins yell from behind her.
"Bj! my little Star!" Nalani yelled excitedly as she hugged her cousins.
"We missed y'all," Alanis said as she engulfed Mark and Nalani into a hug.
"We missed y'all too, Bj rarely ever visits us," Mark said as him and Brandon did their little bro hug.
"That's why we're here, Star Star and I actually just moved here together." Even though Alanis was a family member on Nalani's mom's side and Bj on her dad's side, they all came together like one big happy family.
"Oh, this is Courtney, she's Penny cousin." Mark introduced a star-struck Courtney who just couldn't stop staring at Bj.
"Do I have something on my face?" Bj asked as he moved his glasses up his face.
"N-No," Courtney stuttered with a laugh. "You just have a very welcoming aura." And just like Penny, Courtney never failed to speak her mind sometimes.
"That's the last thing I would say about him," Alanis joked as she dapped Mark.
"Oh, I see how it is," Brandon laughed as he shook his head. "Our little superstar teamed up with Nani's fiancé."
"Babe? Really?" Nalani faked hurt as she held her chest.
"I guess Courtney's just going to team up with me and Nani." Bj was lowkey flirting with Courtney and she was turning tomato red.
Ding!
We all looked down at our phones to see that Victor had put us all in a group chat. Everyone's eyes widened in shock as we read the message that shown on our screens.
Vic- She's in labor!!! 🥴They're only allowing me and another person in to wait for her tho😖 Recieved @12:18
"She's in labor! We have to hurry up and go to the hospital." Courtney said as we all began gathering our stuff.
"They're only allowing one other person, so you can go Courtney, we know how much you miss your cousin." Nalani was sacrificing her being able to see the baby, but it just felt right.
"Thank you," Courtney hugged everyone before she turned to leave.
"I'll drive you," Bj offered as he kissed Nalani and Alanis cheek and hugged Mark before following after her.
"Come on Jade Nalani, lets get home." Mark wrapped his arm around her shoulder. "You're welcome to spend the night, Star."
Alanis sighed with relief, "glad you offered because I didn't want to just walk into y'all place uninvited even though I would have anyway."
Nalani and Mark laughed as Alanis got into the back seat. She was checking up on her fans on Instagram, she was a well known actress and model so she always had to keep face.

Penny had decided to keep the information about the baby a secret until she got to take her home.
"Aww she is just the most adorable baby ever," Nalani turned to Mark to see him staring at the photo.
"That's my god daughter babe," Mark whispered. "I'm a god dad."
Mark was super excited to be a god dad, though he wanted his own kids with Nalani, he wanted to be married to her first.
