I finally made it out of the hospital after weeks upon weeks of recovery. Walking was really hard. Extremely hard. The back of my legs had huge scars. I cried the first time I saw myself naked. Maybe my love was right, I couldn't be seen like this.

I had a hard time leaving my nurse, Aoki. She was happy to see me move on but I promised her we would reconnect. Michi helped me back to my shared apartment with Wada.

"Are you sure you're going to be alright?" Michi  asked, wheeling me into the elevator. "I can stay for a little bit longer, the school won't mind."

I gripped his hand, turning around in the chair. "I'll be fine! I have plenty of help."

Michi smiled. "I can't believe you agreed to Deku helping you."

I sighed, turning back around. Truth is, I didn't want him helping me. I wanted him to move on from me and continue being a hero without the weight of his guilt holding him back. I couldn't change how he felt though.

"I know."

Entering the empty apartment, there was a note on the kitchen counter. Michi went straight for it, grabbing it and reading it aloud to me.

' My love,
I am sorry I couldn't be here for your return, I had an important business meeting that could not be ignored.
— See you in a couple of days. '

He crumpled up the note, chucking it across the room. I could tell he was angry, just as he had been in he hospital.

"Now I really can't leave you here," He said. "I can't believe he did this. He told me he would be here."

I tried to justify it in my head. "His work means a lot to him, I'm sure there's a good explanation."

He didn't argue with me but I knew he wanted to. Then, his face lit up. "How about you call Deku?"

"No," I said sternly. "He's busy keeping the city safe, he doesn't need to be here."

Michi took my phone out of my bag and began typing a bunch of nonsense into it. I couldn't move very well in the wheelchair, still weak from everything that happened.

"Hey— hey! Michi— what're you doing?" I tried to grab it out of his hands.

"I'm giving you a shortcut."

Before I could protest, he handed me my phone. "You just gotta hit the star three times and it'll call him. In case you fall or something bad happens."

Michi beamed, extremely proud of himself. I opened my arms for him and he accepted my invitation for a hug. "I didn't mean for you to be taking care of me."

I felt tears starting to form. "I'm the one that's supposed to take care of you."

Michi's hug became tighter as I cradled my brother's head. His muscles were quivering, trying to hold back emotion. He was very emotional, I knew that.

"I'm just glad you're okay, Ane. No matter what, we Nishimaras take care of each other," he let go, his eyes watery. "I've got to catch my train now."

"O-Okay," I sniffled. "Text me when you get to your dorm and don't worry too much. I would have food for you to take home but—"
