Loki sat stretched out on the couch reading his book. He was aware of heavy footsteps heading in his direction. A smile tugged at the corners of his mouth but he ignored the emotion and went back to his book. Oh, Y/N. What am I going to do with you, love? He thought as you entered the room.

You stood in the doorway hoping Loki would notice, but nothing. You then let out a sigh, but still no reaction from the god. You walk over to the couch and dramatically flop down right on top of your friend.

"I'm bored!" You complain.

"And I'm reading, darling." The prince gently tried pushing you off his book. "Go bother someone else."

"Ugh, there isn't anyone here. It seems you've forgotten they are all on a mission this week. "I'm supposed to be keeping you company - remember?"

"Then keep me company while I read. Surely you can find something to do," Loki said returning to his book.

"But I've done everything," you whined. "I'm so BORED!"

Loki kept quiet, pretending to read. You looked over at him, scooted up and somehow managed to wedge yourself between him and the back of the couch. Slowly you slid up so you could peer at him from under his novel. You stared and stared, but Loki gave no reaction. Smirking, you reached up and booped his nose. You knew how much he hated it, but you didn't really care right now. You were bored and he was going to suffer with you. Repeating your reaction, you laughed.

Loki suddenly caught your wrist. "I advise you to stop, or you may lose your fingers, missy." His voice dropped an octave to convey his seriousness, but his eyes twinkled slightly.

You took the book from his other hand and laid it aside. Sitting up, you straddled his legs. "You would never hurt me Lokes," your voice dripping with sarcasm. "You love me. I'm your best friend, remember?" He nodded with a smile. "And as a friend, you are, by rule, required to entertain me."

The god raised his eyebrows. "Entertain you, eh?" He pulled you flush against his body. "And how would you like me to do that?"

You felt your face heat up. "I didn't mean like that, you weirdo," you gasped.

Loki chuckled. Neither of you moved or said anything.

He was first to break the silence. "I guess you could show me how Midgardians spend the holidays. I know you have wanted to show me for a while."

"But you hate Midgardians, you call us foolish for basically just living," you accused.

"Well, clearly I don't hate all of you. You, my dear, are the exception," he smiled. "Plus if it means you will stop complaining, then I guess it won't be too much of a hardship."

You put your hands to your heart and gave a look of mock appreciation. "Oh, my knight in shining armor. Always so willing and helpful." You stood up and started running to your room. "Be back in five minutes," you called.

Loki waited by the elevators for you. You both got on and took the short ride downstairs.

You paused at the backdoor and smiled up at him. "You ready for some fun, Big Blue?" you giggled. You had been working on his nickname for a while and thought it the perfect time to test it.

Loki glared at you. "I will not answer to that name, Y/N. It is offensive."

You just rolled your eyes and grabbed his arm pulling him through the door, into the backyard. "Fine then, Reindeer Games it is."

The first thing you decided to do was sledding. You found a toboggan and ran to your favorite spot. Placing the sled at the top, you sat in front and motioned for Loki to sit behind you. He has a slightly apprehensive look on his face.
