It was nearly the end of the decade. And you and hornet wanted go open a cafe. Alas you two couldn't find somewhere to open the shop in. It was hornets goal to open the shop with you.
So on the last day of the year you and hornet went to look for places all day. First you two went to a place that previously held a baker in it,
Which closed a few months ago. While you and hornet were looking at everything and the real estate agent was doing what ever, you went into the kitchen. And then you found out why the bakery closed.....
You and hornet quickly left without even considering the place. Next on the list was an old nursing home that had a separate building that use to be rooms, but was soon abandoned due to it being a hassle to have to walk from the main building to that smaller one. Surprisingly the place was quite well kept,
And actually smelt nice. Hornet seemed to really want this place and you did too but then you guys looked at the rent.....
It was getting close to 2 o'clock so hornet and you wanted to take a break and get lunch. After you ordered your BLT and hornet ordered her 2 bagels. You guys went over the next houses. "Let me start off (y/n), three of these we can't afford and two are in a really bad place... so that leaves us with 3 left." "Well that's unfortunate let's hope that one of them lets us take it"
And the search was on again. The first one didn't have the space you needed, but it's wallpaper was actually really
Cute, so it was still an option.
Second one had everything you needed, a spare room, a kitchen, a main area and a little upstairs. It was absolutely perfect. Let's just hope the other 10 bugs didn't get it.
And last but no Least was the third one.
The rent was cheap, it had big windows, the kitchen was small but cozy and it already had some chairs and tables inside of it. It was also perfect so you guys put your names on for potential renters and went off to eat some dinner.
"Hey hornet what are we gonna do if none of them accept us?"
You asked her while you picked at your peas
"Trust me we will get at least one even if it's not in a good area, and we will live out our dream!"
"Ha thanks for the reassurance."
You said while you smile at your food, but then you get a call, you pick up. "Hello this is (y/n) speaking, how may I help you"
"Ah yes the exact person I was wanting, well we have some great news to inform you with, you got the place! If you looked at multiple it was on (insert street) we thank you for taking up this place and we'll do the paperwork in a few days."
"Okay thank you so much. I'll be waiting for your next call."
"Good bye (y/n)."
You ended the call. Hornet looked up at you with that look like 'Wtf was that about'
"We got the second place"
You spoke with tears in your eyes, hornet nearly spat out her food
"Really?!"
You nod.
"Omg I'm so happy (y/n), this is the best New Year's Eve ever!"
She said as she got up from her seat to hug you.
"I'm so happy I get to do this with my best friend!"
"Me too hornet, and happy new year."
