Quirrel and I have been best friends for like 7 years now, we even went outside of hallownest together. We both almost lost our minds, but at least we had each other. We only went outside of hollownest because we wanted to explore, but we spent a bit too long out there so we both forgot what happened in our lives or we just had a faded memory, but either way I had him so it didn't matter, we had each other's backs. We would leave each other.
"Hey (y/n) I think I want to go back."
"Why's that?"
" I feel like something is calling me back you know, I'm not really sure but I feel like it needs me."
"I'm fine with anything honestly, and you know I would go anywhere with you right?"
He hummed in response as we started to walk back to hallownest. I didn't mind doing what ever he did because it felt like I had a purpose every time I listened to him. I know it's not healthy but I think I'm okay with forever being the Luigi to his Mario. There was just a voice in my head that said that I wasn't good enough and all that. But every time I felt like I had a purpose It went away.
It's almost as if it died.
On our way to hallownest we ran into a vessel of sorts, but they had a gender and could talk. So I'm not really sure what they were. Alas that doesn't change that fact that she challenged quirrel to a battle. After she hit his mask she apologised and walked away. I'm not really sure why though.
First we went to greenpath, we were resting at a bench until a little pale ghost came in, he didn't talk at all, but that didn't stop quirrel from talking to him. He still said noting.
Next we went to the queens station and we saw him again. It's like every where we went the ghost would also end up at.
And he kept showing up to the next and the next, it was all quiet trippy but funny at the same time I guess.
But then we arrived at a temple. It had a dreamer in it.
"(Y/n) please stay outside, I need to do something important."
I nodded and walked away to go explore the Queens gardens, it was very pretty there but then I found a bunch of flowers that looked at if they would break it I even touched them.
But I took one anyway.
I went back for quirrel, he wasn't there. I saw the ghost and asked him where he was and he pulled out a Soward that glowed with dreams
"The resting grounds?"
It nodded and walked away.
I had a bad feeling so I ran.
It was a sad sight to see. Your best friends light slowly dimming out.
"Please don't leave me, I haven't even said goodbye yet."
He didn't respond he just smiled
"You're supposed to live quirrel! Don't you want me to follow you again?"
"Thanks (y/n)"
"...... it's okay quirrel just close your eyes."
