Chapter 5

No one has come in today. You and Clyde were reading all day, while Owen just played with toys. Clyde was just about to leave, when he rushed over to you. "My friend Eva works at a bar, do you wanna come?" Clyde asks. You look up at him and nod. He smiles, which makes you smile. "C'mon Clyde!" Owen says. "See ya later!" Clyde says. He walks out of the door, and Owen follows him. You go to your computer and turn it off. Then, you go outside and and lock the door. Clyde turns around and walks next to you. "Where do you live?" Clyde asks. "I live in the apartments near her-" Clyde cuts me off. "Me too!!!!!" He says. Clyde looked excited. You smile. "I gotta go drop Owen off, uh, can you be there at 10:30?" Clyde asked. You nod. Clyde smiles. "I'll see ya there! Bye!" Clyde walks in the opposite direction with Owen. You walk to the apartment and into your room.

A few hours have passed. You've been in your room watching tv. Then, you hear a knock on the door. You go to the door and open it. It's Clyde. "So this is your apartment!" He says

"How did you find it?" You ask.

"I knocked on every door 'til I found yours" he says.

Clyde smiles. You felt annoyed, but his smile made you smile. "I live over there, see?" He points at a door all the way at the end of the hall. I nod. "I just wanted to see which apartment was yours so I'll go" Clyde says. He starts to walk away. "Wait!" You say. He turns to you. "It's just about time to go to the bar" you say. "Well then let's go!" He grabs your hand and pulls you away. He leads you out of the apartment and down the sidewalk. It was a bit of a long walk, but eventually, the two of you made it there. He finally lets go of your hand. The two of you walk inside and sit down. Eva walks over. "Hey Clyde and, you are?" She looks at you. "That's [INSERT READERS NAME HERE]. The person at the library!" Clyde says. "Finally, you made some new friends" Eva says. Clyde gives her a dirty look, while she smiles. "Would you two like anything?" Eva asks.
