*Red Hood(Jason Todd)*

Gale looked up at me, then around the room at everyone else. Then back at me.

"G-bird, do something! Either forgive him or tell him what his punishment will be." Dick broke the silence.

"Nightwing, I don't think she's ready to do anything. How would you feel if, after some time your torturer said he's sorry?" Barbara stated.

Dick looked down at the ground. "I'd need time to think it through. Take your time G-bird."

Batman cleared his throat. We all looked up at him.

"We'll decide what to do with you later, Red Hood. Right now, Joker is about to kill many citizens at a party. Let's move out." Bruce announced.

We all raced out, the girls and younger boys having the pleasure of riding in the Batmobile.

*Timeskip to the fight*

I watched as Nightingale expertly blocked and kicked the goons.  Then I heard Joker say something to her.

"Well, well, well! What do we have here? A new little bird toy for me? Batman, you're too kind." Joker smirked.

Nightingale's hair suddenly blazed red with fire flames.

"I'll have you know that I'm NOT your new toy. Never will be either. So I would advise you to back off Johnathan Evan Kyle!" Gale growled.

Everyone, including Joker, looked aghast.

"H-How'd you know my name? Even Batman doesn't know that! And he's been fighting me for years!" The sick clown stuttered.

"One thing Batman's body scanner didn't pick up was that I'm able to detect secret identities." Gale said.

She blasted water mixed with fire from her hands. Joker and his goon ran away in fright.

"Well, well, well! My little G-bird has once again surprised me! And to think Bats' old machine couldn't pick that power up! So maybe that machine isn't as powerful as you bragged, was it Bats?" Dick cackled.

"So what? Maybe she can only detect villains' identities." Bruce said, trying to disguise his surprise.

"Don't feel so down, Bruce!" Gale smiled and patted his back.

"Haha! She outsmarted you, Bats!" I laughed.

"Don't talk like that to my father, Todd. You're still going to get a punishment." Damian spat out.

"You just had to ruin the one minute of fun for me, didn't you, Damian?" I sighed.

"What can I say? You are a traitor." Damian smirked, obviously happy he ruined my fun moment.

I didn't say anything more. Damian is like that, straight to the point.

"That's enough. Nightingale, have you decided what the outcome of Red Hood will be?" Bruce spoke up.

"Yes. I will forgive you, Red Hood. I really should just send you to Arkham but my belief says to forgive those who hurt us." Gale stated.

I smiled as relief washed over me. She doesn't hate me.

*Timeskip*

 *Gale*

As Dick and I were about to leave for Jump City, Batman called me over. He took me to his office.

"Gale, as you may already know, I'm Bruce Wayne. And I have something to offer to you." Bruce said.

 "Really? What?" I asked, intrigued.
