"Do you like it?" He asked. I nodded, continuing to eat the steak. He smiled, kissing my cheek, "I'm glad." As much as Tyler tried to enlighten the mood, sadness still hung in the atmosphere between us. He wrapped his arms around my shoulders from behind, kissing my jaw. I turned my head and kissed him. He brought one of his hands to my jaw, kissing back. There was a knock on the door, causing us to pull away. Megan and Lexi walked through the door. I only smiled small as they walked in and Tyler picked up Lexi. I watched them as Megan came over to me. "You okay, sweetheart?" She asked. I nodded, trying not to ruin the happy mood.
Grief of a loss of a parent. Especially, the alpha's parents is one of the most biggest pains to slow one's ability. The memories flood through their heads as if they never left to cover up their pain. Losing my father wasn't a problem, I killed him myself to save my mother, only resulting her dying in distress. An alpha must not let his or her guard down, no matter what the consequence is. The worst part is that werewolf grief lasts longer and affects every wolf in the pack.
"I'm going to go on a run." I spoke. Tyler looked at me, seeing the pain still in my eyes, then nodded. I walked outside, taking off my hoodie and sweatpants before shifting, bolting into the woods. I ran down deep into the forest of the woods. I looked up at the waterfall ahead of me and walked down to the water. I drank some of the water then went up under the waterfall. I shifted back into my human form, running my fingers through my hair as the warm water cascaded down on me. I felt a pair of arms, coming around my waist, pulling me back towards them. They tried to move my hips with theirs but I denied. I growled lowly, grabbing their wrists, turning around.
"Calm down, Wolf." He spoke. I looked at him, "What do you want and how do you know what I am?" I growled.
"You and I just watched you shift."
"Sorry, but I'm with someone and don't believe everything you see."
I was aggressively pushed back against the wall, being pinned back. "That person doesn't matter, right now, just wait till I tell everyone what actually exists in this world."
"Oh yes he does," Tyler stood there, arms crossed. "And you're not telling anyone what he is." The guy turned around, looking at Tyler. I grabbed his head, jerking it back, breaking his neck. The body fell limp, hitting the ground. I relaxed back into the wall, closing my eyes. Tyler placed his hands on my waist, then got on his tip toes, kissing me. I put my hands on his neck, kissing back. He pulled away, handing me my clothes.I quickly got dressed, then kissed him again. He put his hand on my chest, pulling away. "Don't mask your feelings with your kisses. It doesn't help you." He whispered. I pressed my forehead against his, "Our kisses make the pain go away. Everything around us disappears when we kiss, and I like it that way." My wolf yearned for Tyler, causing my eyes to turn gold. I chuckled, "He really wants you." He blushed, pecking my lips, "Then let him have me." My wolf didn't need to be told twice, he took over my body, then shifted. He lunged and pinned Tyler down playfully. "This is probably the first time I've seen you that doesn't involve with fighting or a forced shift." He chuckled, running his fingers through my black fur.
I licked over the spot where I marked him and he hummed in satisfaction. I shifted back into my human form, laying on top of him. He kissed my forehead, then lifted us up to a sitting position. "Babe?" He asked, placing his hand up under my shirt then laid his head on my chest. "Yes?" I responded.
"If your mother was a werewolf then why did she never change? Or why did her wolf not help her, like yours does?"
"She and her wolf were too weak. Her wolf is what kept her from dying earlier on. Her wolf fought against her body to keep her alive for me. I just wish that I could've said goodbye."
"I know, I know."He ran his hand over my abs and kissed my chest. I half buried my face in his hair, taking in his scent.
I hummed softly, "I love your scent."
