Chapter 22

I headed to the other room, seeing no one other than Kyle. "What do you want?" I growled through gritted teeth. "You know what I want."
"Be specific."
"I want you."
"You're not having me."
He pinned me back against the wall in less than two seconds, lowly hissing at me, "I am going to have you. You're mine not Tyler's."
I growled lowly in a defensive manner, "Don't pin me back against the wall," I pushed him off of me, glaring at him, "or else I'll break your body to pieces."
He smirked, biting into my neck deeply. I growled at him, "You're an ass." He disappeared and I went back into the other room.

"Logan."

Hm?

"I can't see."

Huh?

"I'm going blind."

I shifted and looked around. I whimpered softly, continuing to look around. Ace howled in pain in my conscious.

What is it?

"T-The venom is weakening my system. Just stay like a wolf and I'll be okay."

Just go to sleep.

"I will."

I tried walking into the other room, shaking my head trying to clear my vision. Eventually, my vision was long gone and I laid down. "Logan?" Tyler called out. I perked my head up, looking around. "Baby?" He called again. I whimpered softly, leading him to me. He found me, kneeling down, stroking my fur.

Everything okay?

I moved my head into his lap, burying the side of my head into his stomach.

What's wrong, baby?

Ace went blind and his immune system is weak. He's asleep.

You can't suddenly go blind, can you?

No. Only werewolves can lose their vision if they're bitten deeply enough by a vampire. Once they lose their vision, their wolf becomes useless and it drives them both insane till they kill themselves or get killed in battle.

Where is he?

Who?

My brother.

He bit me then disappeared.

I can't just leave you here and deal with him alone.

Let him get away. Let him run and be a coward. I don't want you to get hurt.

I'm sorry.

There was nothing you could do.

He continued to stroke my fur as we sat in the darkness of the living room. He picked me up and headed upstairs. I laid down on the bed, opening my eyes. He sat down in front of me, petting my head, "I'm sorry that you can't see." I winced out in pain, placing my snout on his legs.

"I need to take over."

Do what you need, I do need you.

He took over his form, closing his eyes again. Slowly, he fell into a deep sleep, relaxing his body. Tyler fell asleep after a while with his hand in my fur.

"Awake."

I woke up, looking around, seeing Ace next to me, and a field of trees with us sitting on the top of a hill. He licked my cheek, laying down. "You know, you're stronger than you think, Logan." A woman spoke, sitting in front of me. I looked at her, a little confused, "Am I-"
"Yes. The venom consumed you in your sleep."
"What abou-"
"Ace is asleep in your subconscious, you're still breathing, but you are here."
"Goddess, is there any way I could you know.. get back?"
"Yes, I just need to get rid of the venom before it destroys Ace."
