"You're going to make the change. Whether you like it or not." Adrian spoke. "I'm not biting him." I responded.
"You have to."
"I don't have to do anything."
"If you love him, you'll bite him."
"If I love him, then I won't bite him until he gives me the consent for me to bite him."
"If I stabbed him, where he was to bleed out unless he was able to shift, would you bite him then?"

I stood up, leaning towards him over the table, "You wouldn't dare lay a finger on him." He stood up, looking at me, "Oh, I would."
"Tyler is the one to make that decision."
"No, you make that decision, and you are to as alpha of the pack, to bite him."
"I am the alpha of this pack. You are still the mateless beta."
"You're too much of a coward to bite him."

That was the last straw.

"I'm not biting him, because I love him! He's a vampire and last time I checked, werewolf essence and vampire venom still do not mix well together."
"So what, if it kills him?"
"Have you lost your mind, A?"
"No, if he dies, you'll be stuck with eternity of grief, which will make you slow your pace in everything, eventually getting yourself killed, and I get to take the role as alpha."
Ace growled up to the front of my mind, with fire in his eyes. I could feel Kaden, lost and confused, in Adrian's head. My eyes went gold as so did his.
"What's going on in his head?" Ace asked. "H-He cut me off. I have no idea what he's planning. I'm more worried for Logan, than Adrian.." Kaden responded in fear. Then, I was suddenly thrown back against the wall with a silver knife to the chest.

I woke up in a cold sweat in discomfort from my ribs. Tyler held onto my arm in his sleep, sleeping peacefully. I nudged my arm into his stomach and he woke up a little. "Is everything okay?" He asked sleepily. I groaned out a response, "No." He sat up, carefully pulling me to his lap.
"What can I do?"
"Nothing really.."
"Let me check your bandages."
He carefully unwrapped my bandage around my chest, running his hand over my ribs lightly. "They're healed but bruised. Since you're the alpha and all it should just take you a few hours to be fully healed." He smiled. I nodded, grabbing his hand. He intertwined our fingers, kissing my hand. I smiled a little, closing my eyes again, falling back asleep.

"Baby, you gotta wake up." Tyler whispered softly. I groaned, hiding my face more into his back. "You have a meeting, and I don't think you're going to want the alpha from the other pack, barge in on us." He whispered, kissing my hand. "Fine." I mumbled, getting up. I took off the bandage around my chest, pulling on a shirt over my head. He got up, kissing my cheek, "That's better." I smiled softly at him as I put on my sweatpants. He kissed my forehead, then sat down on the bed. I picked him up, going into the bathroom, setting him down on the ledge. I somehow managed to brush my teeth and fix my hair while Tyler decided to distract me. I stood in between his legs once I finished and he giggled softly, wrapping his arms around my neck.

I picked him up again, then headed downstairs. "You're going to have to stay in the living room once they get here, or you can play with the pups." I smiled. He nodded, kissing my nose, "I'll play with the pups."
"They pups won't sense your smell, so you'll be okay."
"My scent is masked with yours anyways."
"True, but the others can smell it."
"They should know that one little vampire isn't going to cause any harm to their kids."
"I know, I know."
"Then, there's nothing we should worry about."

I was sitting in the conference room writing out the new treaty between werewolves and vampires. Elijah knew well, but it was my duty to give it to him and for him to send it off to his brother's clan. Tyler was out playing with the pups of the other pack that were in the city, that were here for a meeting. As I wrote, I felt the presence of Adrian come into the room. Ace surfaced up to the front of my mind, his eyes narrowing into the back of his head, with his golden eyes as piercing daggers going through his skull. I kept my head down as I wrote out the rules of the treaty, eventually Adrian left to go attend with the alpha, telling him why the meeting was delayed.
