"Miss Jess Roberts" the nurse called out. Me and James both looked at each other before standing and following the nurse. "Hello, if you want to take a seat on the bed Jess, I'll be two secs"

"Okay" I whispered jumping onto the hospital bed, butterflies swarmed in my tummy.

"So, is this your first child?" The nurse asked, pen in her hand ready to make notes. I just nodded. "I take it this is the father?" It was then James' turn to nod. "Okay then, are you ready to see your baby?" She grinned. James nodded enthusiastically. I smiled.

"What he said."

She placed the freezing cold gel onto my tummy, I let out a little shiver and James giggled, before sensing it wasn't a laughing matter and grabbed my hand. We both stared happily at the screen, I was trying to search for what I was meant to be looking for when I was interrupted

"I don't know what I'm meant to be looking at" James whispered in my ear

"Me neither" I admitted, we both started laughing and the nurse gave us a confused look. Another few minutes passed before she finally found what she was looking for.

"Here it is. Your baby" she smiled. "All we definitely know at the moment is that this" she pointed at a point on the screen "is your baby's head. Right, I'll go and print you off some copies of the scan, 2 seconds" she grinned, passing me some tissue to clean my tummy before leaving the room.

James leant in and kissed me. I smiled as the nurse handed me the copies. "Woah!" James took one and turned it upside down looking At it.

"Babe that's the wrong way round." I showed him.

"Jess, I was thinking whay about Alyssa for a girl and Sam for a boy?" He whispered into my ear.

"They both sound perfect. Sam Maslow or Alyssa Maslow." I kissed him deeply as I stood up and made my way to the door. Thanking the nurse.
