Valerie POV
I don't know why we live here. We don't even remotely fit in. I cannot wait to leave this place and never look back. I don't want to see any of these people ever again. Except Emily. I'm lucky to have a good friend. She hates how everything is around here, too.
Everyday is a countdown to graduation. That day I'm set free will be the Best Day Ever. I want to help make the world a better place when I am far away from here, because if were not improving the world in some way, then whats the point?
Things will get better after this.
They have to.
Harry POV
"Can we please stop talking about her lads" I said annoyed to all of the boys
"Why? You think about her everyday, might as well think about her out loud" Louis said
"You should introduce her to us mate" Liam spoke up
"I havn't even got to know her myself, Liam" we walked outside to the front of the school for Paul to pick us up.
"But we saw you two talking after class?" Niall questioned
"I barely started talking to her okay lads, can you guys stop with all these questions. I promise when I get to know her more ill introduce you to her" I said as Paul pulled over and we climbed inside
"PAUL!" Niall screamed climbing over Paul and hugging him tight, "We missed you so much" his face was buried in Paul's arms
"Niall, I see you everyday. Hi boys" Paul said to us while Niall was still on him.
"Niall, c'mon get off Paul. Don't you want to eat already?" Zayn told him after getting in his seat
"Okay, lets go Paul" Niall said grabbing Paul's hand and pulling him inside the car, like a mommy holding her young's hand.
The ride home was quiet, but I didn't argue I liked it like this. I could keep my thoughts to myself without having the boys make out a comment about Valerie.

Valerie POV
The next day before class started I went with my friend, Emily.
"I've been up since four," she says. She looks more exhausted than she sounds.
"I wish there was something I could do," I tell her. I would do anything to take away her pain, but I wouldn't even know how to begin saying the right things to her.
"Maybe I should have told someone" she says.
I really wanted her to. I definitely think she should have told someone, but she just wanted to forget about it and move on. I'm still waiting for her to change her mind.
I went to the bathroom on the second floor. Written in black marker on the wall above the first sink: Valerie Harris Is Corroded
*************
There's this thing I do with Aaron Brennan. It's a secret thing. Something Aaron said I can never tell anyone. I really want to tell Emily, but I promised him I wouldn't.
Aaron Brennan and I make out.
He has the bad-boy reputation, but just because someone always wears a black motorcycle jacket and looks angry most of the time doesn't mean he's trouble.
Even though we're close physically, there's this distance between us that never seems to go away. We don't really say much when we get together. We just start kissing.
"I said I was sorry," Aaron reminds me. "what else do you want?"
"Um, I don't know. Not to be your dirty little secret anymore?"
"You know it's not like that," he whispers.
"Are you embarrassed to be seen with me?" I ask
"No!"
"Then why can't we go out and do things like normal people?" I push him away. Aaron and I have been together for a month, and boyfriends shouldn't act like this. He should want to take me places. He should want us to hang out with his friends. But I can't give up on him, im lucky to have him.
"You want to go somewhere?" he says.
"Yes."
"Fine, we'll go somewhere."
"When?"
"Next Friday. Okay?"
"Okay." Then Aaron starts kissing me, before I knew I pulled away and saw him standing there, Harry Styles.
