Chapter 5

Friday, April 15

Valerie POV

I parked my car at the school parking lot the next day. I drove slowly to see if I bump into Harry and his friends or should I say band-mates. Instead of finding Harry, Carly was waiting for me outside my car. I don't know why shes obsessed with bullying me. One time Carly grabbed me by the front of my shirt and pulled her fist back like she was going to punch me.

"Good morning. Rotten Egg," Carly says when she sees me. I brush past Carly, ignoring her. They say that if you ignore a bully, she'll move on to harass someone else. Ive been ignoring Carly for three years, she hasn't moved on yet.

"Didn't you hear me?" Carly yells after me. "I said good morning!" I keep on walking

"Rotten Egg should really learn some manners!" she yells. I'm sure all this ignoring Carly will start to work any day now. I just have to wait. I hate that I'm so afraid.

I got to class and the first thing I noticed is Harry is not here. I wonder where could he be? He is famous maybe he got tired of school and left, that's what I would do. I sat down and the teacher started reading our write ups for homework yesterday. I'm surprised we could do it in regular English.

"This one by Valerie really struck a chord with me," she tells everyone. Then she reads it.

After class I find Justin Bruckner. He is really nice to me and chooses to be an outsider.

"Hey," Justin says. "I like your write up"

"Thanks. I like your suspenders"

"I knew you were the type to appreciate style" I smiled and walked with him to the courtyard.

Harry POV

"So why aren't we going to school today?" I questioned. We were all waiting in the living room for Zayn to be done fixing his hair. Louis and Niall were in the kitchen eating while me and Liam where watching some T.V.

"We have a signing and its clearly important. Simon informed Paul to excuse us from school" Liam said back while he was on his phone.

"Just for today, right?" I asked

"Yeah just for today" he said. "Zayn! Are you done. We have to leave in 10 minutes!" he yelled back at Zayn.

"I'm on my way!" I heard Zayn shot back. I sighed and lied down on the couch deciding to check twitter today. I opened it and thought of something, but I don't know if it was to weird. I put the search bar and spelled:

Valerie Watson

Many names appeared, but the only one I needed was at the top. I clicked on it and saw a picture of her, she was smiling her blond hair pulled to the side as her icon and she was wearing a white shirt. She looked gorgeous and it reminded me how perfect she is. I looked at her recent tweets. She hadn't tweeted in a while the last was 30 days ago the last tweet said:

 @Valerie_Watson: Goodbye everyone, I really don't deserve this. I just need someone xx

I was confused. What did she meant by that. I strolled through the rest of her tweets. She replied to so many people, but they where all saying to stop and depressing replies. I found one and read the message she replied to.

@Audry_Ryan: @Valerie_Watson Why don't you just die already, everyone wants you dead. To me it looks like your gonna die soon anyways. :)

@Alexis_White: @Valerie_Watson Is anorexic. If you touch her she will fall and drop dead. EVERYONE TOUCH HER!!

@James_Fibbe: @Valerie_Watson Hey Valerie, we should meet up at my house tomorrow ;). My girlfriend is away so it leaves us plenty of time ;)

I stopped. I dropped my phone to the floor and let out a tear. Why?

She doesn't deserve any of these hurtful things. How could I not notice it before. I couldn't read any more after reading six of them. As I was reading them I didn't notice I was crying.

It broke my heart.

"Mate? Are you alright?" I didn't even noticed the boys where surrounding me. I looked down and clean my tears before they saw me. It was to late anyways.

"Yeah, I'm fine" I said staring back up at them, "Are we leaving now?" I asked towards Liam's direction.

"Yeah, Paul's outside waiting for us" he said back. They all looked at me like I was lying, and I sure was anyways, but I didn't wanted them to know. Before leaving I picked my phone off the floor and looked back at the hurtful words again. I went back to her profile and clicked the New Message button.

I clicked the TWEET button and it send. After the message sent I clicked the FOLLOW button. I logged off before any fans could reply or tweet me about what I just did. She probably won't see it, but it was true I am here for her.

When we got to the signing the line went long, I didn't even see the ending of it. We stopped to sign and take pictures with fans until Paul told us it was time to get moving. We sat on the table the order of Zayn, Louis, Me, Liam, and Niall. The first hours where great and we took plenty of pictures with fans and they asked us all about school. Until a fan with brown hair and hazel eyes came up to me and asked, "Is it true your with a girl name Valerie just because you feel bad for?" I didn't know how to respond to that . I stayed shocked and Liam responded instead of me.

"Valerie is just a friend of Harry's, babe. She's really amazing and Harry would never do that to her." Liam kissed her on the cheek so she could get moving. After the signing I stayed quite the whole time. They boys didn't bother asking me anything, but I was soon gonna explain everything.
