Hello to all my readers. I hope you liked the first chapter of this fanfic. However, I was afraid that many of you may not know about the other side of this fic, which is the animated series The Deep created by Tom Taylor and James Brouwer. Synopsis: The series follows the Nekton family, a family of adventurous underwater explorers who live aboard a state-of-the-art submarine, the Aronnax, and explore unknown areas of the Earth's oceans to unravel the mysteries of the depths. The ancestors of the Nekton family died trying to solve the riddle of how to get to the lost city of Lemuria and refused to abandon it. Now, thanks to family friend Nereus, the Nektons know why they are so attracted to solving underwater riddles; because they are the descendants of Lemurians.

Ant has grown up surrounded by adventure and at no point has he realized his life is far from the norm.
Growing up as an aquanaut, Ant shows almost no fear or trepidation when trying something new or potentially dangerous. A gifted child, Ant is already surprising his family with his intellect and is constantly experimenting and inventing.
Ant believes in many mythical, paranormal, and superstitious topics such as Aliens, Ghosts, and Mermaids, he is always eager to get out and explore wherever and whenever he can. A very smart and quick child, Ant has energy to spare. He often acts before thinking, and that gets him into trouble.
Fontaine Nekton

Is the eldest child of the family. She's 16 years old.
Following in the footsteps of her mother and father, Fontaine is already a fantastic Aquanaut. A naturally gifted navigator, she is an invaluable member of the team as much for her skills as her outlook. Like her mother, and completely opposite to her brother, Fontaine analyses situations before diving in. Amidst all the excitement and enthusiasm, sometimes her more considerate nature makes her the only sane voice on board the Aronnax. A true Nekton. Fontaine is passionate about the survival of the ocean. She is a strong swimmer and a gifted navigator. She is also Kaiko's natural apprentice, soaking up knowledge like a sponge. She takes action in her own time and on her terms, and more often than not her shrewd thinking has saved the Aronnax from deep-sea doom. Fontaine is always a skeptic in most situations believing there to always be a rational explanation.
