November 21, 2016

Tonight in Orlando, Florida is my championship opportunity against Becky Lynch. I was both excited and nervous backstage as the anticipation was running ramped in my veins. I sat in catering enjoying some food minding my own business when a few of my friends came up wishing me luck tonight and to show Becky how I fight when I want something important.

The show started with good matches, long promos, and casual bickering by the commentary team. My match with Becky was coming up soon so I found myself a quiet space backstage and started warming up and getting my mind to focus at the task in hand, beating 'The Man' Becky Lynch. Once my body was warmed up and conditioned, I made my way to gorilla to wait while the showrunners worked. Mark surprised me from behind to wish me luck and to pump me up before I go out there. As we were talking, Becky walked pass us with Seth Rollins in tow. My attention went straight to them, "Is she seriously gonna bring Seth out for our match? That's low, Lynch, even for you."

Mark scoffed, "If she's bringing Seth out, then I'm coming out too."

I whipped my head to Mark, "You are?"

He nodded, "Yeah, it'll only make sense for me to do that. Plus, I'll keep Seth in check, make sure he doesn't interfere and all."

I smiled, "Aww, babe."

--

Stepping into the ring, Becky looked at me up and down, sizing me up but what she doesn't know is that I came prepared. As the bell rang, I charged Becky and slammed her down giving her jabs left and right. She shoved me off but I came back and rammed her into the corner jabbing her with my shoulder into her stomach. I broke the five count, whipped her into the opposite corner and drop kicked her then went for the cover, 1... 2... no!

In the middle of the match, the dominance role switched back and forth between us women. Seth tried to interfere a few times but Mark made sure he stayed still. Becky suplexed me a couple of times, arm dragged a few times and went for the pin, 1... 2... no! We locked up and I got caught in an arm bar as Becky tried to wrestle me into the mat for her finisher, Dis-arm-her. I fought against her with a forward roll, lifting my feet up and trapping her head in between my feet, and headscissoring her to the mat. The fight continued on for a few more minutes, but the toll of the overall match was starting to get to us because we've been wrestling for over forty minutes. That's the longest match I believe in women's history within WWE.

The match was coming to a close soon because we were both getting exhausted and the WWE Universe could tell. Becky and I were on our knees exchanging punches back and forth, then slowly making it to our feet with a few kicks connecting with our legs and torsos. I gathered up enough energy and roundhoused Becky in the head, she stumbled back and fell laying on her back, I climbed to the top rope and flipped, Shooting Star Press connected and I went for the cover. 1... 2... 3... ding, ding, ding! The WWE Universe went wild, Mark was jumping and cheering like crazy, and I started crying my eyes out. "The winner of this match and NEW Raw Women's Champion, Nixon," the ring announcer said. The referee handed me the belt and I held it up high for the whole world to see. I walked around the ring holding the title up, and when I showed the belt to the people behind me, I was forced to the ground and the feeling of punches hit my back. I rolled over to protect myself when I saw Seth on top of me punching the crap out of me, but lucky enough Mark sprang into action and tackled Seth off of me and started whaling on him.

Mark and Seth went at it like two rabid dogs, I was laying on the ground outside the ring in pain, Becky was doing the same, the crowd was going batshit crazy, and the ref was trying to stop them but that wasn't going to happen anytime soon. Mark was beating Seth to a pulp making sure he didn't get a single punch in, but four refs came in and separated the men. Mark was yelling at Seth wanting to continue the fight, but Seth was barely moving. One of the refs called in for a stretcher to come to take Seth away and to the hospital. The WWE Universe was cheering and shouting at Mark for taking down Seth and whatnot leaving both me and Becky stunned in pure shock. What the hell just happened?

Commentary during the attack:

"She did it! She- oh my god, Seth Rollins is attacking the new champion," Michael Cole shouted.

"And now Mark Andrews is attacking Rollins, good for you Andrews," Graves replied.

"Andrews just broke two kendo sticks over the back of Seth Rollins, and he's still going," Cole said.

"Andrews is seeking blood, and both women are completely stunned," Graves said.

"The officials are now trying to separate the men, Corey, and Seth hasn't moved an inch," Cole reported.

"We need a doctor right now," Graved commented.

Getting backstage was an absolute nightmare, officials were running around helping the medical staff, Vince was talking to one of the doctors, I was confused about the whole thing, and Mark was pissed but proud of what he did. Stepping off the stairs and into the clearing of the backstage area, Renee ran up with a cameraman and started interviewing me about everything.

"Nixon, what the hell just happened out there," Renee asked in concern.

I sarcastically tilted my head to think, "Let me think here, huh? Oh yeah, I just attacked by Seth freaking Rollins after winning this title, who the hell does that?"

Mark stepped in and voiced his anger, "Yeah, and what type of business did Rollins have in the first place? Who gave him the right to put his hands on my girlfriend and attack her when she's vulnerable? Although I am glad that he left here on a stretcher; but hey, I get it, you don't want Becky to lose but guess what? Nixon beat 'The Man' fair and square. If Seth wasn't out there, to begin with, then that beating I gave him wouldn't have happened. You see, he doesn't realize that if you mess with me, the best high flyer that WWE has ever seen, then you need a reality check."

I looked at Renee with a proud look and ended this interview, "If Whoopi Goldberg and King Irish Corbin want another fight, they know where to find us."

--

Walking down the hallway with Mark by my side, a few of our co-workers congratulated me for winning the title and they even congratulated Mark for beating up Seth, what the hell is up these people? As we neared the women's locker room I made Mark wait outside, like a good dog, to allow me some alone time and to cool off after everything.

After showering and putting on fresh clothes, Katie walked into the locker room and congratulated me as well. "There's my champion! How are you feeling?"

I hugged her, "I'm good, a little sore and bruised, but I'm fine."

"I watched the match, and damn girl! You brought the fight to Becky," she laughed.

I nodded, "I know right?"

"You better keep that title for a long time because I wanna fight you at Survivor Series," she joked.

I laughed, "I'll make sure to that."

We sat down in some chairs that were laying around and talked for a few more minutes. "I've missed you lately," she said.

"I've missed you too. How's you and TJ? I've seen the Instagram photos, but I missed you guys in person," I said.

"We're doing good, but he's not getting a lot of matches. How are you and Mark, I've seen the posts too," she said.

I smiled, "We're good as well, he's treating me like a princess so don't worry."

She smiled, "Good because I will hurt him if he hurts you or breaks your heart."

I rolled my eyes, "Yeah, yeah, whatever."

"I'm being serious, Ni. You tell me practically everything, so I have to worry no matter what," she said.

"I know I do, but somethings are also best to keep personal," I said as I started to remember the night I told Mark about my past relationship.

"I guess you're right, but hey, I'll see you around I gotta go," she said.

"Oh yeah, I'll see you around. Bye, Kat," I said waving off.

"Later, Wonderland," she replied.

I left the locker room a little bit after Katie and walked up to my waiting puppy. He smiled and held out his hand for me to take, I gladly take it and walk with him to the parking lot where his car is and drive off to the hotel for the night. Once we get to the hotel, I jump into bed and doze off into a sweet slumber to rest my sore and bruised body.
