I live in a world where there are robots, or as we call them androids. They look like real people, but aren't able to feel emotion. They're made to act like real people.
I genuinely hate my dad. He decided to get me one for my birthday.
"Why? I never asked for one!"
"Well, you always seem so lonely, I thought this would help you, and think of all the things you can do with her." A grin appeared across his face.
"You're sick!"
I picked up the human sized box and took it to my room.
I placed it by the wall and laid down on my bed. I turned on the television and relaxed.
〜〜〜
About thirty minutes had passed and I heard movement in my room. At first I thought it was my dad, but I would've heard him open the door.
I heard a knock on my door then it opened. It was my dad, "You know, if you don't want her, I'll take her for myself." He started walking towards the box.
"No! I'll keep it, just leave."
"Whatever you want." He left the room and shut the door behind him.
I don't even want to think of what he might do to it.
I heard more movement coming from the wall where I placed the box. I got up and walked over to it. The box moved. Is it glitching? Might as well open it.
I opened the box. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to get it out though. I picked up the box and shock the android out of it, onto my bed. She laid there.
Out came a beautiful girl. She had long dark blue hair, in two pigtails there was also some type of red head piece, coming down to about her waist. Her eyes weren't open, so I couldn't see the color. She was pretty short, about four, eleven. She was wearing a dark green dress with light yellow, light green, and light blue at the top.
She was covered in plastic wrap, along with bubble wrap. I unwrapped it and went to grab the directions out of the box.
When I turned around she was sitting up on the bed, which startled me.
Her eyes opened, revealing her big light brown eyes, "Hello, I will be your personal android. My name is Wendy Marvell. You can do whatever you please with me. There is only one version of me, so if you wanted I could pretend to be a real person. My reset button is on the back of my neck, if you would like to access it, you will need to unho-" She suddenly spoke.
"That's enough, I understand."
"What would you like me to call you?" Wendy asked me.
"Romeo would be fine."
"What would you like me to do?"
"Just not talk for now." Wow, she looks exactly like a real person. How do they even build something like this?
She sat on my bed for about thirty minutes blankly staring at me, probably waiting for a command.
"Um, you can talk now...." I told her.
"If you would like, I can also be a personal body guard for you, or whoever you please."
"No thanks, Wendy, do you sleep?"
"Yes, I need sleep to recharge. There's a charger in the box that you hook up to my ankle, or I can sleep without a charger, but it will take longer." She smiled.
I went over to the box and grabbed the charger. "I'll use this for now."
"Great choice!"
"Okay you can use my bed," I plugged in the charger to the wall. "And I'll use the couch downstairs."
