I grabbed the manual and read through it, and changed her programs. She got up and walked perfectly.

"Come on." I took her hand and lead her out the door and to the cafe down the street.

We entered the cafe and sat down. "What would you like to eat?" I asked Wendy.

"Anything you want me to."

"No, it's your decision."

"Okay, I'll get whatever you get."

"Fine."

The waitress came up to us, "Hello, I'm Katie, I'll be your waitress today. What would you like to order?"

"I'll get a strawberry cake and water, thank you." I told her.

"And for you?" Katie turned to look at Wendy.

"I'll get the same thing as him."

"Okay, that'll be out in just a bit." She walked off.

"Well, I guess you're coming to school with me from now on."

"That should be fun. I always love meeting new people." She had a glisten in her eyes.

"Of course you do.." Wendy tilted her head, confused at what I met. "It doesn't matter, let's get going." I walked out of the cafe and toward the school, Wendy followed me.

We arrived at the school about ten minutes before school, just enough time to get to the office and register Wendy.

Finished. I managed to convince one of the lady's that liked me to give Wendy all of the same classes with me. I figured since she doesn't really know how things work it'll be easier for me to show her.

The bell rang. I started walking to class and Wendy followed.

We walked into the classroom and I went to my seat in the back of the classroom and sat down.

"Where do I sit?"

I pointed to an empty seat next to me. This class doesn't have assigned seats. The rest of the class walked in right before the bell rang.

The guy that normally sits in the seat next to me walked up to Wendy. "Move."

"Of course, sorry." Wendy started to get up but I shook my head for her not to. She sat back down. "Sorry, I can't."

"Just move this is my seat!"

"Actually Fred, these seats aren't assigned. She can sit wherever she wants."

He turned around to look at me. "What did you say?" He walked closer.

Out of nowhere Chelia appeared and stepped in between him and I. "Now, now lets not fight here." She smiled.

"Tch." Feed walked away and sat somewhere else.

Chelia sat on the other side of me and leaned over. "Why did you defend her? It looked like he was about to beat you up."

I turned to her. "What was I supposed to do? He was about to beat her up."

"Anyways, I don't remember ever seeing her here. Is she new?"

I should act clueless for now. "Yea. I think her name's Wendy Marvell." I paused before continuing. "I'm pretty sure she just moved here from a couple states away."

"Oh. We should talk to her then! I bet she doesn't have many friends." I nodded.

During the lesson, I wrote on the corner of my paper, 'Act like you don't know me when I talk to you.' I ripped the price off and subtlety handed it to Wendy.

Using my peripheral vision I saw her read it. I hope she knows what to do and won't ask me.

After class, Chelia and I walked up to Wendy who was still sitting at her desk. "Hey! You're Wendy, right? Well, I'm Chelia!" Chelia cheerfully stated, trying to start a conversation.

"I'm Romeo." Wendy stared at me for a second.

"Hello.." I have a feeling she doesn't know what else to say. She looked to me for answers, she's so obvious. I looked away trying to play it off as I was embarrassed.

Chelia probably sensed the tension. "Anyways Wendy, how about you come sit with us at lunch. We normally sit on the roof so Romeo will come get you. Okay, I have to get to class. See you later!" Chelia ran off, waving.

I waved back. "Okay let's go Wendy. You did an okay job at acting like you didn't know me. But you could've done better."

"Oh, I'm sorry about that. I'll do better next time." She lowered her head.

"You don't have to be sad about it." She lifted her head up.

Lunch came pretty quickly. "You should be okay now, right?" She nodded in response.

I walked over to the gender neutral bathrooms we have in our school. I walked over to the biggest stall, pushed Wendy inside and locked the door. "I'm going to change your settings back now." I quickly changed them in about two minutes.

Right when we were about to walk out some people came in. Shoot, people might get the wrong idea. I quickly lifted Wendy up and placed her on the toilet seat. I'll just wait until they leave.

It took them about five minutes, but that's okay. I walked out of the stall and Wendy's followed me all the way up to the roof. "Sorry we took so long. I had trouble finding her."

"No problem. Here you go Romeo!" Chelia handed me a bento box she packs for me everyday. She turned to Wendy, "Sorry, I had no clue we were getting a new student. I would have brought you something. But for now we can share."

We all sat down. I had my back to a wall that was where the door was, while Wendy and Chelia day in front of me, facing me. Wendy and Chelia chatted a bit while I sat there listening in. What was I supposed to say? Their talking about girl stuff.

Something Chelia said causing my ear. "So, where do you live, Wendy?"

I wasn't looking at Wendy, yet I could tell she quickly glanced at me. "Uh.. I live pretty close to here. Within walking distance." Good, she thought of something.

"That's so cool. I live just a couple blocks away, so does Romeo, but sadly, we aren't neighbors." The bell rang. "I should get back to class." Chelia got up and left.

We soon followed after.
